The Mathematics and MAPEH Department of Calabanga National Science High School organized a project entitled 'Project Pabasa at Pagbilang' in Brgy. Sogod, Calabanga, Camarines Sur, bringing learners together to promote reading and numeracy skills through fun-filled mathematical challenges. The project's goal was not only to improve students' comprehension of what they read but also to promote empathy, teamwork, collaboration, and a passion for learning.
The event was spearheaded by the school's Math and MAPEH teachers, student teachers, along with the parents, dedicated public officials of Brgy. Sogod, and most importantly, the learners of Brgy. Sogod. These learners actively and eagerly participated in the activities, which included various problem-solving, challenges where participants worked together as a team, making learning a collaborative and enjoyable experience.
Project Pabasa at Pagbilang 2025 successfully instilled a sense of enthusiasm and a supportive environment. As the event concluded, all participants particularly the learners reflected on the importance of numeracy and literacy in shaping a better future. The success of this event sets a strong foundation to strengthen the collaboration between the school and the community.
