𝗗𝗢𝗟𝗘, 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗘𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗧𝗨𝗣𝗔𝗗 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Department of Education (DepEd) have partnered through the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program to provide temporary employment opportunities while supporting the improvement and maintenance of public schools.

Under the DepEd–DOLE Convergence Program, Calabanga Central Division Pilot School (CCDPS) is among the 85 identified beneficiary schools in Camarines Sur. The school is set to receive 40 TUPAD beneficiaries who will render 10 days of service beginning August 20 through September 4, 2026, on the scheduled workdays of August 20, 24–28, September 1–4.

The beneficiaries will undertake approved school improvement activities, including cleaning the areas outside classrooms and repair and repainting of school facilities, in accordance with the approved TUPAD Work Program.

The initiative is intended to provide temporary livelihood assistance to qualified beneficiaries while contributing to the improvement of school facilities. The Division Memorandum requires participating schools to comply with the documentary and implementation requirements set by DOLE before beneficiaries render services.

The materials and tools to be used for the school activities were provided through the financial support of the Local Government Unit of Calabanga, headed by Mayor Philip B. Dumalasa.

The partnership was highlighted during the signing ceremony attended by DOLE Camarines Sur representative Gian Karlo Santos, Schools Division Office of Camarines Sur Senior Education Program Specialist Niña Salve Banas, School Parent-Teacher Association President Arnanie Azor, CCDPS School Principal II Job C. Namoro, and the TUPAD beneficiaries.

In his message, Mr. Namoro underscored the importance of collaboration among government agencies and the community in creating opportunities for workers while addressing the needs of the school.

“This program is a proof that when DOLE, DepEd, and the community work together, we can create real opportunities for our people. To our TUPAD beneficiaries, this is your chance to earn with dignity while helping improve our school and community.”

The TUPAD implementation will be monitored and documented in accordance with DOLE requirements.■

Young Girl Scouts from Calabanga Central Division Pilot School (CCDPS) showcased their talent and confidence as they competed in the GSP Junior Gathering 2026 held at Robinsons Place Naga on August 15, 2026.

The CCDPS Modern Dance team, composed of Christine A. Muroda, Jaze Chryzel V. Arceo, Princess Joy V. Dalanon, Azia Margaret Benoza, Cailiegh Nicole M. Mayote, Mary Francine T. Salalima, Reign Yuri S. San Buenaventura, Zianna L. Lumbang, Jessa May A. De Alday, and Teresa C. Salcedo, secured 4th place out of 28 contestants in the modern dance competition.

Meanwhile, Yelena Jorge Villena earned 5th place out of 29 contestants in the vocal solo competition.

Both entries were coached by Teacher Aiza Mae B. Pante, whose guidance and dedication helped the young contestants prepare for the competition.■

𝗚𝗮𝘇𝗮, 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝘆𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗿. 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝗡𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

John Eric Gaza of Kindergarten–Apple and Queen Athena Delos Reyes of Grade 1–Red were crowned Mr. and Miss Nutrition 2026, respectively, during the Mr. and Miss Nutrition Coronation Rites held at the Calabanga Central Division Pilot School (CCDPS) Teachers’ Pavilion on August 10, 2026.

Gaza emerged as Mr. Nutrition 2026, with Mat Kyrie Obrero of Grade 2–Tulip named first runner-up, Joseph Russell P. Tandog of Grade 6–Mars as second runner-up, Prince Luke Alecson A. Baluyo of Grade 6–Venus as third runner-up, and Carwyn Zack Arias of Grade 4–Diamond as fourth runner-up.

Delos Reyes, meanwhile, took the Ms. Nutrition 2026 title. Mariah Sydney T. Bustarga of Grade 4–Citrine placed first runner-up, Sakina Sultane Ahmad of Grade 3–Generosity second runner-up, Jenelyn C. Estuya of SNED–Mabini third runner-up, and Princess Jean A. Benaid of Grade 1–Yellow fourth runner-up.

The candidates competed in the school uniform, formal attire and long gown, and production number segments as part of the special awards.

The event carried the theme “Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan!”, in line with the school’s celebration of nutrition and environmental protection.

Municipal Councilor Hon. Martin B. Dumalasa served as guest speaker, while Emily B. Aguila, overall chairperson of the Search for Mr. and Miss Nutrition, introduced the guest speaker.

In his message, Councilor Dumalasa emphasized the importance of environmental stewardship and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

The program also included the awarding of certificates to the board of judges, candidates, parents, school head, and guests, as well as the presentation of special awards.■

𝟮𝟭 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗢𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗖𝗣 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Twenty-one teachers from Calabanga Central Division Pilot School (CCDPS) formally took their oath of office on August 7, 2026, after earning promotions under the Department of Education's Expanded Career Progression (ECP) Program.

The CCDPS educators joined 5,354 newly promoted teachers and school heads from the five congressional districts of Camarines Sur in the mass oath-taking ceremony held at the Freedom Sports Complex in San Jose, Pili.

Department of Education Secretary Sonny Angara administered the oath of office, recognizing the newly promoted educators' commitment to public service and reaffirming the Department's support to career advancement and professional growth among teachers and school heads.

The activity was conducted pursuant to Division Memorandum No. 509, s. 2026, which provided the final schedule and guidelines for the mass oath-taking ceremony.

The 21 newly promoted educators from CCDPS joined fellow promotees in making their pledge to their profession, affirming their commitment to faithfully perform their duties, uphold the Constitution, and serve the Filipino people with integrity and dedication.

This achievement reflects CCDPS's commitment to fostering professional advancement, recognizing teacher competence, and promoting quality education.

Meanwhile, Education Secretary Sonny Angara announced the Department of Education's plan to provide laptops to all teachers, noting that the initiative would be implemented in phases and would take time to complete. During the ceremony, DepEd also launched the distribution of official lapel pins to newly promoted and reclassified teachers and school heads, which will later be distributed to all teachers.■

The Calabanga Central Division Pilot School (CCDPS) welcomed Our Lady of La Porteria, the patroness of the Municipality of Calabanga, during her pastoral visit on August 3, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.

The Marian image was received by teachers, pupils, parents, and school personnel, who lined the school's entrance with blue flaglets. The visit continued with a vigil and the celebration of the Holy Mass, presided over by Rev. Fr. Gilbert Leopoldo G. Briguera.

Pagsungko, a Bicol term meaning "visitation," was led by the Circulo de Nuestra Señora de la Porteria of Our Lady of La Porteria Parish.

The pastoral visit formed part of the August 2026 schedule of Pagsungko ni Inang La Porteria, which brings the revered image to various institutions and communities across Calabanga. ■

Commitment to leadership, collaboration, and service marked the Induction Ceremony of the School Parents-Teachers Association (SPTA), Homeroom Parents-Teachers Association (HPTA), and Calabanga Central Division Pilot School Teachers and Employees Association (CCDPSTEA) Officers held at the CCDPS Covered Court on July 31, 2026.

The ceremony gathered school officials, teachers, parents, stakeholders, and guests in celebrating a new chapter of partnership for School Year 2026–2027.

School Principal Job C. Namoro formally welcomed the attendees and emphasized the vital role of strong collaboration among parents, teachers, and the community in promoting quality education.

Calabanga Municipal Mayor Hon. Philip B. Dumalasa administered the oath of office to the HPTA officers before delivering a message on responsible leadership and shared accountability in supporting learners and school programs.

Highlighting the event, Hon. Nelson S. Legacion, Member of the House of Representatives for the Third District of Camarines Sur, led the induction of the CCDPSTEA and SPTA officers. In his keynote message, he underscored the importance of collaboration among educators, parents, and government partners in creating a nurturing learning environment for every child.

The program was enlivened by intermission performances from the CCDPS Dance Sport Team and Project Development Officer I Albert A. Camacho.

Representing the newly inducted officers, SPTA President Arnanie S. Azor delivered the acceptance message, expressing gratitude for the trust bestowed upon the new set of leaders and reaffirming their commitment to serve with transparency, cooperation, and excellence.

The event concluded with the closing remarks of CCDPSTEA President Elsie P. Climacosa, who thanked the guests, organizers, and participants for contributing to the success of the ceremony.

The induction ceremony concluded with fellowship and simple salo-salo among the parents, teachers, and guests.
