NATIONAL SCHOOL SAFETY WEEK KICK OFF

In support of the Department of Education's Memorandum on the Observance of National School Safety Week, Maurang Elementary School actively joins the nationwide celebration from October 12-16, 2026 with activities aimed at promoting a safe, inclusive, protective, and learner-centered environment for all.

Together, let us uphold our commitment to ensuring a Ligtas, Inklusibo, at Maalagang Paaralan for every learner.

As part of the Observance of National Safety Week, the school emphasize the importance of protecting learnersโ€™ rights and promoting a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Through meaningful discussions and activities, learners are encouraged to respect one another, recognize unacceptable behaviors, and speak up against bullying, violence, abuse, and gender-based harassment.

Let us work hand in hand to ensure that every child feels SAFE, VALUED, RESPECTED, and PROTECTED inside and outside the classroom. Together, let us build a school community where kindness, respect, and safety always come first!

Active Shooter Drill, NVE Awareness, and S.A.F.E. Program Conducted at Maurang Elementary School

Maurang Elementary School extends its heartfelt gratitude to MSWDO and Caibiran Municipal Police Station for conducting the Active Shooter Drill, Nihilistic Violent Extremism (NVE) Awareness Orientation, and S.A.F.E. (Seen, Appreciated, Felt, and Extraordinary Police Service) program.

These activities enhanced the preparedness, awareness, and safety consciousness of both learners and school personnel. Through this initiative, our school community gained valuable knowledge on emergency response and the importance of maintaining a safe and secure learning environment.

Today, we successfully carried out our Earthquake Drill to strengthen everyoneโ€™s awareness and preparedness in case of a real emergency.

Teachers, Brgy. Officials and learners actively practiced the essential โ€œDuck, Cover, and Holdโ€ technique, followed by an orderly evacuation to the designated safe area. The drill highlighted the importance of staying calm, alert, and cooperative during unexpected situations.

A big thank you to the Brgy. Officials for joining! Your commitment plays a vital role in keeping our community safe and prepared.
