In accordance with Executive Order No. 29, Series of 2025, issued by Hon. Glenn G. Batiancila, REE, Municipal Mayor of Cagwait, the suspension of face-to-face classes is hereby lifted.

All faculty members are directed to resume limited face-to-face classes starting tomorrow, October 22, 2025.

Classes shall follow the approved blended learning schedule of NEMSU Cagwait Campus.
Everyone is reminded to observe earthquake safety protocols and ensure the safety and welfare of all students within the campus.

The North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) announces that, 𝒇𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒄𝒍𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒄𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒄 𝑭𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒛𝒆 𝒐𝒏 𝑶𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒃𝒆𝒓 13–14, 2025, 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒔 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝒐𝒓 𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑶𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒃𝒆𝒓 15, 2025, 𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒍 𝒇𝒖𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒆. This measure is implemented in response to the earthquake that occurred on October 10, 2025, and the subsequent aftershocks that continue to affect the safety of the university community. The shift to online classes aims to ensure uninterrupted academic engagement while campus facilities undergo inspection and assessment to determine their readiness for the eventual resumption of face-to-face learning.

Due to the unprecedented seismic activity, 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒅𝒖𝒍𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒊𝒅𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒎 𝒆𝒙𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒕𝒑𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒍 𝒇𝒖𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒆. A revised exam timetable will be announced once the situation has stabilized and it is deemed safe to proceed.

In light of the recent major earthquake and the persistent aftershocks being experienced across Mindanao, the North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) hereby announces the implementation of a Skeletal Workforce Scheme across all campuses, effective 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, until further notice, as outlined in 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐦 𝐍𝐨. 𝟏𝟎-𝟎𝟎𝟔-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓.

This precautionary measure is intended to ensure the safety and welfare of the NEMSU community while maintaining essential university operations.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲

-All academic and university-related activities will transition to virtual or online modalities.
-Each university office shall assign at least one (1) personnel to report on-site daily.
-Critical service units (e.g., Clinic, Security, ICT, Cashiering) will maintain appropriate on-site staffing.
-Job Order and Contractual Faculty are under a Work-from-Home (WFH) arrangement and are required to submit accomplishment reports.
-All non-essential travel, assemblies, and face-to-face events are suspended until further notice.

We urge all students to remain vigilant, follow official announcements, and prioritize safety at all times. Your cooperation is vital in maintaining a safe, responsive, and resilient university environment.

𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 | In preparation for the upcoming visit of CHED Commissioner Dr. Ricmar P. Aquino next week, all faculty members and students are hereby informed that tomorrow, October 10, 2025, shall be declared as a General Cleaning Day across the campus.

To give way for this important activity, there shall be no classes and no examinations for all levels. This suspension applies to all departments and academic programs. The university shall instead focus on a campus-wide cleaning and beautification drive to ensure that our surroundings are in order for the Commissioner's visit.

All students are required to report to campus regardless of whether they have regular classes or not. This is to ensure full-force participation, as the scope of the cleaning task is extensive and may not be fully accomplished in just one day.

Students are advised to wear appropriate working clothes suitable for physical activity. However, wearing slippers is strictly prohibited. All are required to bring cleaning materials such as empty sacks, bolo, and potted plants for use in cleaning and landscaping efforts. (working clothes or comfortable clothes does not mean shorts nor mini skirts nor cropped tops)

The success of this endeavor depends on the collective effort and cooperation of everyone in the university community.
