CUREXO participates in CPD's (Commission on Population&Development) Adolescent Pregnancy Summit. CUREXO Director Dr. Gultiano and Research Fellow Dr.Xenos will also present papers based on the Census and Population Survey 2020. The summit is to address Region 10's problem of having the highest rate of teenage pregnancy in the country.

The Philippine Population Association (PPA) Officers, Dr. Chona Echavez and Dr. Sharon Linog of Xavier University met with CUREXO last Oct.24 to discuss preliminaries for collaboration with CU on the forthcoming International Conference of PPA to be held in Cagayan de Oro City, March 2026.

CUREXO received recognition for the recently concluded Capacity Development Research Training organized by the Oro Integrated Cooperative last Oct.8-10 at NHotel.The interactive 3-day training was participated by the unit and division heads.

Capitol University is one of the participating universities in the recently concluded Philippine Sociological Society International Conference 2025 held at Ateneo de Davao University from October 1-3.

PRESENTATION OF Proposed Extension Program, Project, and Activity (PPA). On October 7, 2025, the extension officers of the various colleges and units of Capitol University were able to present their proposed extension PPAs to the officials of Barangay 25 which is the adopted barangay of Capitol University for extension services with the theme "Empowering Communities through SDG Driven-Extension Initiatives". All PPAs presented are anchored to the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The whole activity was facilitated by the Associate Director for Extension Dr. Marivic Umaran of CUREXO. This was attended by the barangay officials of Barangay 25 headed by their Barangay Captain Honorable Noel Ilogon. Moreover, this was also attended and supported by the Deans of the different colleges of this university. Dr. Amor Q. De Torres - Vice President for Academic Affairs gave her opening remarks during the session emphasizing the importance in attaining the SDG through extension works. Dr. Franco Flores - Vice President for Administration also gave his closing remarks.

CUREXO Statistician, Jonathan Madronero, gave a Poster Presentation and an Oral Presentation at the 16th National Convention on Statistics at The Manila Hotel, Manila, October 1-3, 2025.

Congratulations to CUREXO's Mr.Madronero, Dr.Gultiano, and Dr.Cagas! Best Poster for the paper entitled "Satisfaction through Multi- Dimensional Visualization", during the 5th International Conference and 2025 Annual National Convention held at Mallberry Suites, Cagayan de Oro City.
