Field formation at 0700 for accounting. By 0740, all cadets will proceed to the USTP Gymnasium for the final examination.

The Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) unit of USTP-CDO conducted its regular Saturday formation on 30 November 2025 at the DRER Memorial Hall.

The formation featured discussions on military operations and core fundamentals. SSg Mark Kevin G Aniasco 873418 (INF) PA tackled the Fundamentals of Infantry Operation 1 and Basic Drills and Ceremonies, underscoring how precise infantry movements, coordinated unit formations, and disciplined drills strengthen cadets’ readiness and shape them into mission-ready leaders.

TSG Nelson S Cranzo 827338 (CE) PA continued with a discussion on Survival Stressors, covering shelter types and key challenges like fatigue and environmental pressures, highlighting how awareness builds cadets’ resilience and field readiness.

The ROTCU-USTP office hopes that these regular formations will continue to enhance cadets’ practical skills, discipline, and overall preparedness, ensuring that they are well-equipped to meet the demands of both training exercises and future leadership roles in service to the nation.

The Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) Unit of USTP-CDO conducted its regular Saturday formation on 22 November 2025, held at the Dr. Ricardo E. Rotoras (DRER) Memorial Hall, USTP-CDO.

The activity focused on strengthening cadets’ understanding of basic military fundamentals. TSg Alhadad B Wilson (OS) PA provided an overview of IED Awareness, emphasizing threat identification and safety protocols.

SSg Mark Kevin G Aniasco (Inf) PA opened the session with a lecture on infantry operations, highlighting their importance in ground combat and national defense. Meanwhile, Sgt Clark Collin L Tejada PA (Res) followed with a discussion on Weapons Training, giving cadets a hands-on explanation of how standard military weapons function.

The ROTC office hopes that the training will reinforce the cadets’ foundational knowledge and encourage them to approach their duties with discipline, confidence, and purpose.

10RCDG and 1001st CDC Enhance Collaboration with USTP-CDO to Align ROTC Initiatives

‎The Group Commander of the 10th Regional Community Defense Group (RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army, COL BERNARD T. RAGUS FS (GSC) PA, together with the 1001st (MOR) Community Defense Center (CDC) Director, LTC ANSHARY U. PUMBAYA INF (GSC) PA, conducted a courtesy call and official school visit to USTP-CDO Chancellor Atty. Dionel O. Albina.

‎This engagement aimed to present and discuss the Philippine Army’s current strategic thrusts concerning the implementation of the ROTC Program, ensuring that all institutional efforts remain aligned and synchronized with national objectives.

‎CDT LTC CRISTO REY ABECIA, USTP-CDO ROTC Corps Commander, led the unit briefing, joined by the cadet officers, GMA personnel, and training staff.‎

The visit strengthened partnership and coordination, underscoring a shared commitment to developing disciplined, capable, and service-oriented ROTC cadets.

The Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) Unit of USTP proudly participated in the ROTC Convention 2025, held on 07-08 November 2025, at the Officers Clubhouse, 41D Camp Evangelista, Cagayan de Oro City. The event carried the theme “One Standard, One Mission: Advancing ROTC Excellence Towards a Disciplined, Patriotic, and Service-Oriented Citizenry in Region 10.”

Seven officers from ROTCU-USTP, including the Corps Commander CDT LTC Cristo Rey Abecia (1CL) and the Graduate Military Assistant (GMA) officers, represented the university alongside delegates from Region 10 to strengthen leadership, discipline, and camaraderie while promoting national service and civic responsibility.

The Unit's participation reflects its ongoing commitment to developing responsible, patriotic, and service-oriented youth leaders through the ROTC program.
