Message from the Alumni Association President, Joanne Marie Pacuribot:
First, there were hesitations, fears and doubts. There were disagreements and misunderstandings. But friendships, laughter and respect were built along the way.
It was like not a happy start, there were questions and lots of not so good notions. It was definitely not a clear road nor a smooth ride there - but it was a wonderful experience I would never forget. With only 3 weeks preparation, no experience of organizing such event, I guess it is safe to claim that we have made it - the was a success. ❤️ And I would like to thank and share the joy to the following:
1. SSG Officers / Class Presidents / Boy-Girls Scouts, for without you children, we would have not made it. God bless your GRSHS journey, kamo nasad pohon! Once a regionalista, always a regionalista. ❤️
2. The teachers, I won't name names, but please know that we are very very grateful for your support - for pushing the students and helping us through. To those part of the committee, thank you for helping us with the preps. Thank you so much also to those who have personally reached out and offered their help (kabalo namo kinsa mo), those who came this morning, those who wanted to come but circumstances just don't seem to allow and to all of you, again, daghang salamat!
3. GRSHS Principal, Ma'am Brenda Galarpe, thank you for being optimistic and staying the same all the way. We have gained strength knowing the trust you have reposed upon us.
4. To the parents of GRSHS, thank you for your generosity and kindness and to the students as well. ❤️
5. Kapitan Marlo Lumbay Tabac. I cannot really fathom how grateful I am of you. Thank you sa di masukod na supporta ug pagpangga sukad sauna hantod karon, sir.❤️
6. To all alumni who have exerted efforts, reached out and supported in many ways - Thank you. To Batch 6, thank you for always always having my back since day 1. To Ghela and batchmates, Jane Wisdom and batchmates, Cyra, Christine Dalaguit and batchmates, Ate Golda, Ate Guenee, Doc Cherry Caldeo, Dave Suico and sa atong tanan alumni - daghan kaayong salamat!
7. To my FamRun team, Adam (alumni coordinator), Barbette, Jundee, Panggoy, Payang, Emman, Rexel, Jovani and Xyruz, I am out of words to really express how blessed I am to have worked with you. Thank you for the late night discussions whether on FB-GC or over coffee. Thank you for the disagreements, for agreeing to disagree and for meeting half way. Thank you for the respect and friendship. And thank you for last night's "moment in the car" -one of my favorite memories with you guys!
8. Of course to my favorite batch, Batch 4 (di na tamo isa isahon kay mataas na jd kaayo ni) mag unsa nalang ko kung wala mo! Thank you for the never ending understanding, love and support!
God bless us all.
Forever grateful,
JM Pax

IMPORTANT REMINDERS FOR THE RUNNERS:
Before long runs or sprint race, there is nothing like a good warm-up, like stretching.
Try to maintain a comfortable race. Remember that long distance running is more of developing your endurance, while a sprint is different.
Although we encourage that you run competitively, please run safely and defensively. Allow faster runners to go ahead of you by not blocking the way.
