“If they are yet to understand how to embrace the world, let us be the ones to guide their very first steps.”

On April 10, 2025, the compassionate and driven students of BSIT 1-2 of Liceo de Cagayan University, brought joy and inspiration to the Grade 1 learners of Filipino-Chinese Friendship School in Canitoan, Caalanan, Cagayan de Oro City, through their NSTP initiative: Project Pag-amoma CDO: Nurturing Young Minds & Holistic Development for Youth.

The BSIT 1-2 class would like to express their sincere gratitude to the principal, teachers, and Grade 1 pupils of Filipino-Chinese Friendship Elementary School. Everyone was reminded of the importance of the project by their warm greetings, genuine excitement, and eagerness to learn. Project Pag-amoma CDO focused around these young students, and it was a pleasure and an honor to spend the day with them, developing their minds and spirits. In reality, they gave the class more inspiration than words could ever express.

This project is a potent reminder that often smallest actions create the greatest impacts. It became evident how a single day of genuine care can inspire hope and create better tomorrows in every moment that was full of kindness, connection, and laughter. The students' simple yet meaningful mission—to be present, to uplift, and to love—was accomplished through games, lively sessions, and sincere interactions.

A special appreciation to the BSIT 1-2 family, whose heart, unity, and creativity embodied the essence of our outreach. Their dedication to helping others and their readiness to collaborate made this project more than just a duty; it was the realization of an important mission. They showed what it meant to have a strong sense of community service with their fellow students. Each of them developed as a result of this experience, not just as learners but also as responsible individuals.

The class also extends their heartfelt thanks to Ma’am Regine A. Albios, whose guidance, trust, and unwavering support made this initiative possible. Her encouragement empowered the students to lead with confidence and serve with pride.

Project Pag-amoma CDO, which was based on the principles of social responsibility, civic participation, and sustainable development, was more than just an outreach; it was a memory that will always be cherished by all those participating. A recollection of mutual smiles, deep bonds, and a shared optimism for a better, more caring future.
