The Xavier Ateneo Dr. Jose P. Rizal School of Medicine is proud to present the final installment of its first-ever Batch Advocacy Presentations this May 28, 2026, from 9:00โ11:00 AM at Room 201 of the Medicine Building.
Our Level 2 medical students will present their advocacy initiative: โCybersecurity: Huwag i-share ang OTP (One Time Pain).โ
Batch Sanare's advocacy is guided by the Ignatian value of fostering social responsibility beyond the medical field โ what does it really mean to be "Doctors for Others"?
In an increasingly digital world, we recognize that financial stability is a cornerstone of health. Securing a community's personal data and hard-earned livelihood is vital to their holistic peace of mind and overall well-being.
Join us in building a safer digital community!
From civic duty to mental health, and now digital safety, we are proud of all our medical students for pouring their hearts into serving the community. ๐

On May 22, 2026, batch Amandi took a meaningful step into preparation for clinical clerkship through a team-building activity designed to ground us for the realities ahead.
We are grateful to Dr. Samantha Maandig for her insightful talk, "๐ต๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ช๐๐๐๐: ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐
๐ป๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ช๐จ ๐๐๐๐๐
๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐" which provided us with a meaningful preview of what lies ahead and reminded us that the transition into clinical training extends beyond academics. It is an immersion into a dynamic and ever-evolving environment that demands adaptability, effective communication, teamwork, and grounded leadership amid uncertainty.
The activity centered on strengthening how we work together with our respective subgroups as we step into environments that are far less structured than what weโre used to in the classroom setting, A VUCA world, VUCA stands for Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous, which reflects clinical clerkship as we transition from the usual structured classroom setup into the hospital setting with new routines, pressures, people, responsibilities and unpredictable situations.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Ateneo Schools of Upcoming Leaders for facilitating our team-building activity, thoughtfully designed to guide us through this transition, not just as students, but as incoming clinical clerks learning to function as one.
And as we step closer to clerkship, may we carry this with us, not just the skills weโve learned, but the mindset to stay grounded when things get chaotic, the humility to keep learning, and the strength to keep showing up for one another.
And in the end, it wonโt be the perfect days that define us, but how we thrive despite the volatility, how we rise for ourselves amid uncertainty, how we adapt to complexity to become better doctors for others, and how we stand together in ambiguity as One Batch Amandi.

As future Atenean doctors, may we always carry with us the spirit of cura personalis, caring for the whole person, listening with empathy, healing with compassion, and becoming true stewards of Godโs care for others.
As we transition from the classroom setting to the halls of the hospital as we enter clerkship, may we never forget that medicine is not only about treating disease, but about serving people with competence, conscience, and heart.

The Xavier Ateneo Dr. Jose P. Rizal School of Medicine is proud to continue its first-ever Batch Advocacy Presentations this May 19, 2026, from 8:00 AM at Room 201 of the Medicine Building.
This landmark event showcases the culmination of months of collaborative "heart-work," addressing the most pressing community concerns in Cagayan de Oro.
For this presentation, our Level 1 medical students proudly introduce "PROJECT PAGLAUM" an advocacy grounded in compassion, understanding, and the firm belief that every individual deserves the chance to heal and begin anew.
Luyo sa droga, adunay paglaum!
This space exists to bring back humanity, reduce stigma, and show that behind every struggle is a person deserving of empathy and hope.
As future doctors and advocates, we choose to stand with individuals in recovery and invite you to journey with us. Through storytelling, education, and meaningful partnerships, we aim to nurture a culture where people are uplifted rather than dismissed, and where healing is supported rather than stigmatized.
Together, let us build a kinder and more compassionate community, one where hope is always possible, and no one walks their path alone.
Stay tuned for more advocacy presentations from our esteemed medical students!

From conversations to action, from awareness to empowerment, this is Ballot Pinoy. ๐ณ๏ธ๐ต๐ญ
What started as an advocacy for voter education in Cagayan de Oro has grown into a movement shaped by passion, purpose, and people. This culmination video captures a year of learning, engaging, and standing for informed choices.
None of this would have been possible without the collective effort, dedication, and heart for the advocacy from 128 strong Batch Amandi. Together, we proved that change begins when we choose to be informed.
