EMPOWERING TOMORROWโ€™S LEADERS: SYMPOSIUM-WORKSHOP 2026

"Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other." โ€” John F. Kennedy

On March 14, 2026, the City College of CDO AVR was filled with inspiration as our NSTP Students (LTS & CWTS) attended the LEADERSHIP: SELF-AWARENESS, VALUES, AND VOLUNTEERISM SYMPOSIUM-WORKSHOP.

We were honored to have the Vocational School Administrator of the Technical Skills and Technology Institute, Mr. Karl Hein M. Pios, LPT, as our guest speaker, who shared his expertise on the core of true leadership.

This initiative directly advances SDG 4 (Quality Education), particularly Target 4.7, by equipping learners with the global citizenship skills essential for sustainable development.

Furthermore, by cultivating volunteerism and shared values, we strengthen community resilience and inclusivity in alignment with SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

Duck, Cover, and Hold for a Safer Tomorrow!

Last March 12, our NSTP students showed that they are ready for anything! At exactly 3:30 PM, the City College of CDO conducted the 1st Quarter NSED in compliance with MD IV No. 061, s. 2026.

We don't just study safety; we live it! This drill aligns with our commitment to SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by fostering a campus-wide culture of disaster preparedness.

Great job to all the students who participated! Stay alert and stay safe, Higalas!

๐ŸŒณ NSTP TREE PLANTING ACTIVITY 2025 | Welcoming 2026 with Purpose ๐ŸŒฟ
๐Ÿ—“๏ธ December 19, 2025
๐Ÿ“ Macasandig Rio Boulevard

As we step into 2026 with renewed hope and commitment, the City College of Cagayan de Oro, through the National Service Training Program (NSTP), proudly looks back on a meaningful Tree Planting Activity conducted on December 19, 2025 at Macasandig Rio Boulevard, in cooperation with the City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office (CLENRO).

This initiative reflects the true essence of volunteerism and service-learning, made possible by the dedication and collective action of our NSTP student-volunteers. Through hands-on participation, students strengthened their ecological awareness, practiced environmental responsibility, and actively contributed to community-building beyond the classroom.

More than planting trees, the activity planted valuesโ€”care for the environment, shared responsibility, and civic engagementโ€”that will continue to grow in the years ahead. It stands as a testament to NSTPโ€™s mission of shaping socially responsible, environmentally conscious, and service-driven citizens ready to serve both community and nation.

๐ŸŒฑ Towards Environmental Sustainability and Community Responsibility
This activity supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
โ€ข SDG 13 โ€“ Climate Action
โ€ข SDG 15 โ€“ Life on Land
โ€ข SDG 11 โ€“ Sustainable Cities and Communities

As we welcome 2026, may this initiative inspire us to strengthen the culture of volunteerism, deepen our commitment to environmental stewardship, and continue working together for a greener, more sustainable future for present and future generations. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’š
