The Human Resource Management Office – System actively participated in the 1st General Assembly for CY 2026 of the Provincial Council of People Managers (PCPM) – Misamis Oriental held on February 13, 2026, at Unity Hall, Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental, Cagayan de Oro City.

The event highlighted important updates from the Civil Service Commission and the election of the PCPM–Misamis Oriental Board of Trustees.

We are proud to share that the Director of the Human Resource Management Office – System, Mr. Jerico Ian O. Guerrero has been elected as a Member of the Board of Trustees, together with Mr. January S. Mejares, Head of the Human Resource Management Unit – USTP Alubijid Main Campus.

This achievement underscores the office’s strong leadership and unwavering commitment to advancing people management practices and strengthening public sector collaboration.

The Provincial Council of People Managers (PCPM) Inc. successfully convened its Year-End General Assembly in furtherance of its mandate to advance professional development, organizational strengthening, and responsive human resource governance in the public sector. Duly facilitated by Master of Ceremony Felix Condeza, the program formally opened with the Welcome Remarks of Jerico Ian O. Guerrero, President of PCPM Inc., followed by the inspirational message of Judy Ann E. Ugay, RPm, Director of HRMD CDO. Substantial regulatory updates were likewise presented by Atty. Rowena G. Gingo, Director II of CSC FO–Misamis Oriental, ensuring alignment with current standards, administrative issuances, and civil service directives.

The assembly further featured the keynote address of Guest Speaker Paul Hui Lagura, Managing Director of PAU Consulting, who delivered comprehensive insights on digital governance, HR modernization, and transformative public sector initiatives aligned with the theme “𝘋𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘎𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯” The activity culminated with an open forum, business meeting, and the administration of a post-activity evaluation accessible via QR code printed on the program. PCPM Inc. expresses its appreciation to all officers, members, and participants whose active engagement ensured the orderly and successful conduct of this assembly as the Council continues to champion an adaptive, innovative, and digitally empowered public service.

HR personnel from across the system-wide USTP campuses gathered for a strategic and collaborative planning session aimed at aligning operational goals with the University’s overall direction. The focus: to develop impactful and actionable plans for FY 2026.

On June 26, 2025, the Human Resource Management Division (HRMD) Team successfully participated the face-to-face training “Branded Impact: Creating Visuals that Represent USTP” an enriching session aimed at equipping HR personnel with the tools and insights to align our visual communications with the University’s branding standards.

With the valuable guidance of our guest speakers from the USTP - Strategic Communications Office (SCO), participants gained practical knowledge on branding essentials, especially in producing consistent and professional visuals across social media posts, printed materials, and announcements.
