𝑨𝒌𝒐 𝑵𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒈 is a spoken-word poetry collection featuring pieces performed by Abigail C. James during a poetry night in Cagayan de Oro City. Through deeply personal and evocative writing, she explores love, identity, and conviction—using her voice not only to reflect, but to resist and express what she believes in. 𝑷𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑶𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒔 weaves together lives across Northern Mindanao, where stories quietly unfold and intersect. From a curious girl navigating a dummy account, to a young boy displaced by abuse, a man consumed by technology, two friends bound by girlhood, and a young albularya confronting her past—these narratives explore the fragile spaces between connection and loss, tradition and change, and truth and the lies we tell ourselves to endure. |Samarrah Nicole M. Abigail C. James is the Director of Creative Development at Nagkahinusang Magsusulat sa Cagayan de Oro (NAGMAC). She holds a Master of Arts in English Language from Xavier University–Ateneo de Cagayan and is currently pursuing her PhD in Literature at De La Salle University Manila. A fellow of various regional and national workshops, her works have appeared in Caraya Journal, Bulawan Literary Journal of Northern Mindanao, Tinubdan: New Voices from Northern Mindanao, and Likhaan Journal. Her first book, Password and Other Works, was published in 2025 by Papel-Papel Publishing OPC. (Password and Other Works, 2025)
