In this time of uncertainty, we are given the opportunity to shed light and show our support to them in the best way we can.
Let's spread never ending love and care.
As we continue our battle with the pandemic COVID-19 together with our frontliners, we are prone to the vulnerability of feeling helpless, confused, and even desperate on what we can do to alleviate the situation.
We hold on to that lingering hope that one day, this too shall pass and we can celebrate life more meaningfully with the people significant to us. We believe that each one of us has the capacity to uplift each other through the words we say; there is power in affirmation.
With this, we are launching the XU Project Sunshine. It is an opportunity for us to share a message of hope to the patients and words of appreciation to all frontliners.
Here’s how you can participate:
1. Simply write a message of hope, love, or gratitude the COVID-19 patients or frontliners. You may also send an a digital/physical artwork expressing the said message.
2. Choose an intended recipient either for the patients or frontliners (medical practitioners, security guards, factory workers, airport crew, delivery personnel, law enforcement personnel, garbage collectors, bankers, gov’t workers, food and service crew, PUV drivers, media practitioners, or fire fighters). You may also address it to the general public.
3. There is no particular number of words (for messages) or format (for artworks) prescribed.
4. Messages may be sent as an e-mail or may also be handwritten. For handwritten letters. Please scan/ take a photo of it and submit to us.
5. Submit your entry through: https://tinyurl.com/xuprojectsunshine
6. We will be the one to print and send your letters/artworks to your identified recipients.
7. Keenly chosen entries shall also be posted on-line.
8. This is open to XU students from basic education to higher education and individuals from or outside XU.
In this time of uncertainty, we are given the opportunity to shed light and show our support to them in the best way we can.
In these trying times, be someone’s sunshine.
