As we draw the final curtain on this year's edition of Pulang Punla: An Award for Capitol University's Outstanding Alumni, our hearts are filled with joy and gratitude.

The Pulang Punla Awards 2025 is finally scheduled for November 21, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. in the Mini Theater at Capitol University.

Following their nomination and the thorough evaluation by the five-person Selection Committee, I am pleased and honored to inform the public that we have already selected this year's award recipients for the Pulang Punla: An Award for Capitol University's Outstanding Alumni.

Their remarkable achievement and admirable contribution to improving the quality of life for others bring pride and honor to the university. These awardees exemplify Capitol University’s mission of developing a TOTAL PERSON.

The Pulang Punla Awarding Ceremony will be held on November 21, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., at the Capitol University Mini Theater, 6th floor, Academic Building III, Capitol University. The ceremony will formally recognize and honor this year’s outstanding Pulang Punla awardees.

Did you know that a former recipient of Pulang Punla: An Award for CU's Outstanding Alumni is now serving as the Assistant Vice President of Pioneer Insurance?

Dr. Roa earned his undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees from Capitol University. In addition to his work in the business sector, he is also an active member of the academic community. He has been a faculty member at the Capitol University Graduate School since 2015 and previously taught at the College of Business and Administration from 2013 to 2017.

Beyond his academic and professional pursuits, Dr. Roa is highly involved in civic organizations. He served as the Assistant Governor Designate for Rotary International District 3870 and is a past President of the Rotary Club of West Cagayan de Oro, among others.

Did you know that a former recipient of Pulang Punla: An Award for CU's Outstanding Alumni is now a professor and program coordinator at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa in the United States?

Dr. Jayson E. Parba is a proud CU alumnus who earned his Bachelor of Arts in English through the Expanded Tertiary Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) in 2009.

He is also a distinguished recipient of the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and the Philippine-American Educational Foundation. Over the years, Dr. Parba has received multiple local and international literary awards and continues to establish himself as a respected scholar and researcher.
