On March 22, 2024, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) implemented proactive strategies to address the issue of aging farmers in the agricultural sector. Through the RAPID Growth Project, DTI Misamis Oriental, in collaboration with the Negosyo Center, launched a Youth Entrepreneurship Seminar. The seminar's objective is to empower the upcoming generation of farmers and entrepreneurs by imparting crucial agricultural and entrepreneurial skills. A total of 70 youth, comprising young farmers from Bukidnon State University - Medina Campus and members of the Sangguniang Kabataan, actively participated in the seminar.

8 FIRMS PLEDGE COMMITMENT TO EMPOWER CONSUMERS

Eight companies in Misamis Oriental expressed their support to DTI Misamis Oriental to empower and safeguard consumers against trade malpractices.

Minergy, Smart, Philippine Spring Water Resources, Inc. (Nature's Spring), Universal Robina Corporation, Holcim Philippines Inc., FDC Misamis Power Corporation, STEAG State Power Inc., and Petron Gasul signed the Consume Protection Pledge to protect the interest of the consumers, promote their general welfare, and establish standards of conduct for business and industry.
