[UPDATED] Recent Shootings. Real People. Call to Faith, Caution, Change.

At a Glance:

• At least 12 communities, 18 documented incidents in 2026 — 11 recent civilian shootings across Twin Falls, Prospect Hill, Missaukee County, Lexington, Chicago’s Auburn Gresham neighborhood, Virginia State University (a historically Black institution), Houston, and Omaha, alongside 7 law-enforcement and ICE incidents.

• A much larger pattern: at least 55 people died in ICE custody since Trump returned to office.

• Black Americans are nearly three times as likely as White Americans to be killed by police. Some Native communities also face severe disparities. Immigrants now face a dramatically expanded federal enforcement apparatus.

• The gospel: violence and terror do not have the final word, because Jesus was crucified, rose again, and already reigns as Emperor–Reconstructor.

• The call: grieve honestly, protect the targeted, and act — electing consequences, removing Trump and MAGA from power, and reconstructing USA for real.

Xi Jinping and the CCP pose direct, serious threats to Philippine national security and must be resisted and stopped.

Chinese Ambassador Jing Quan knowingly spread disinformation to advance Xi’s invasion and occupation ambitions against the Filipino people and nation.

The Philippine government should:

1. Declare Jing Quan persona non grata—i.e., require him to leave the Philippines.

2. Terminate the “provisional understanding” between the Philippines and China on the Ayungin (Second Thomas) Shoal.

The Philippines does not need China’s permission to conduct lawful activities within Philippine maritime zones.

• At least eleven communities, seventeen documented incidents — ten recent civilian shootings across Twin Falls, Prospect Hill, Missaukee County, Lexington, Virginia State University (a historically Black institution), a Houston gas station, and Omaha, alongside seven law-enforcement and ICE incidents, including Corey Ruiz and Geraldo Lunas Campos, whose death was ruled a homicide. Lunas Campos is one of at least two dozen people who have died in ICE custody in 2026 alone — part of a toll that has reached at least 53 since January 2025, the highest ICE-custody mortality rate in nearly two decades.

I didn’t just ask them to write. I asked them to critique each other.

What came back: self-praise followed by self-dilution. Theological register adopted, then quietly stripped. One flat refusal. One system reframing sourced history as “unexamined.” And one recurring pattern across nearly all of them — soften the register, cut the hashtags, sand down the title.
