As devotees, of San Isidro Labrador, who lived a life in faith and humble service, I would want to be just like him and I want to promote the word uswag from our Barangay Kauswagan where we are united as one community, service is given to us by our local government unit headed of course by our Barangay Captain, ensuring the the welfare of the people always comes first with active participation from us Kauswaganons to all the initiatives and programs here in our Barangay so that we can grow together as one Kauswagan where no one is left behind. Because I believe, ladies and gentlemen, that with uswag and our deep love for our culture and traditions we can bring Kauswagan to the forefront of Cagayan de Oroโs best, ensuring that culture meets progress. Thank you so much.
As she concluded her answer, the crowd erupted in applause and cheers.

๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ญ๐ข | Congratulations, Batch 2026! ๐
A simple yet meaningful tribute was organized by the Liceo Communication Circle Officers for the Bachelor of Arts in Communication Batch 2026 graduates at AWIN Coffee & Pizza on April 25, 2026. Though short, the gathering was filled with genuine smiles, quiet tears, and shared memories as everyone came together to celebrate this important milestone. One of the most touching parts of the tribute was the video messages from parents, expressing their love, pride, and support for their sons and daughters. It was a heartfelt reminder of the journey behind each achievement and the people who stood by them along the way.
Moving forward to a new chapter, the tribute served as a gentle reminder of the friendships, hard work, and support that shaped their journey. More than a celebration, it was a moment to look back on the memories they created and to appreciate those who believed in them from the very beginning. As they step beyond the university, may they carry with them the lessons they have learned and the courage to follow their own paths.
In the quiet close of the short yet memorable moment, what remained was not just the joy of achievement, but a deep sense of gratitude for every challenge faced, every lesson learned, and every person who became part of their story. With hearts full and dreams ahead, Batch 2026 now steps into the world, ready to write the next chapter of their lives and they will shape with purpose, passion, and the same spirit that brought them this far. May you go confidently in the direction of your dreams and live the life you have imagined.

The Bachelor of Arts in Communication (BACOMM) program at Liceo de Cagayan University is celebrating a cinematic double victory as the student-led short film CAMSHOT secures finalist spots in two competitive collegiate film festivals. Directed by BACOMM student Yvonne U. Pahapay, the film has successfully bridged the gap between Mindanao and the national stage, representing the university with distinction at both UP Salida (UP Mindanao) and the long-running Piling Obra Vidyo (UP Film Institute).
In a thrilling turn of events, CAMSHOT, a film created by a group of communication arts students, has been selected as a finalist in the esteemed UP Salida and Piling Obra Vidyo. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the director, Yvonne U. Pahapay, with dedication and talent as well as the production and crew included in the making of the film. The filmโs momentum began on April 13 at UP Mindanaoโs Salida, where it was recognized for its unique narrative voice. The streak continued just a week later on April 21, when CAMSHOT was named a finalist at Piling Obra Vidyo in Quezon City.
Standing out in a sea of entries, CAMSHOT has been lauded for its storytelling and cinematic ex*****on. This milestone serves as a pioneering moment for Licean filmmakers, proving that local stories from Cagayan de Oro have the power to resonate on a national scale.
We congratulate the cast, crew, and production team on this outstanding achievement and eagerly await the future of aspiring filmmakers as they lead with the best example, making them a pioneering people to stand for. In every stage of life, a woman takes on many roles โ as a mother, a student, a professional, a friend. She has been carrying a strength that isn't always seen, but is always felt. She isnโt simply fulfilling a role. She is the one who breathes life into every role she takes on. Through the exhaustion, the pressure, and the weight of a world that has too often underestimated her, she continues
This Womenโs Month, we celebrate not just the achievements but the courage behind every woman who dares to speak when she has been silenced, who dares to dream when she has been doubted, and who fares to show up every single day even when it is hard. This is the story of every woman around us โ our mothers, our sisters, our classmates, our colleagues. And perhaps, our own story too. ๐
Every woman has a story worth telling, a voice worth hearing, and a strength worth celebrating โ not just this month, but every single day. Because you are not just a woman. You are courage, resilience, and power. ๐ช๐ป๐
