About Rosevale School
Rosevale School is the realization of the vision of a group of parents who once dreamed of an educational environment that valued the role of parents are primary educators of their children.
They also believed that a child's formative years should be shaped by both the parents and the school. That was in 1995.
Today, Rosevale School is one of Cagayan de Oro City's most prestigious learning institutions.
What started out as a small community of learners and passionate educators has grown to become a full blown school.
A non-sectarian private school, Rosevale embraces the home-school collaboration system. It thrives in the philosophy that education starts at home, with the parents at the helm.
If a child and his parents enjoy a relationship rooted in Christian ideals, the student will succeed not only in school, but in life as well. RosevaleSchool trusts in its teachers, who work hand-in-hand with the parents in ensuring the formation of the children.
Their objective is to instill proper moral, intellectual, spiritual, physical and cultural values in the students. In order to stand true to its philosophy and goals,
RosevaleSchool allows its students to participate in a variety of activities essential for their general well-being.
Some examples include First Friday masses and confessions, recollections (specifically for sixth graders and high school students), a Virtue of the Month Class,
Catechism classes (high school), and a Mentoring program. Weekends at Rosevale are productive as class days as students participate in a character formation program under the Boys' Club and Girls' Club.
All these make Rosevale the best educational institution for Kagay-anons who want to raise God-fearing, responsible, productive and loyal citizens.

What we have is home-school collaboration woven around the belief that parents are the primary agents of the education of their childrem.
As such, we weave our program of instruction on academics and the virtues around that belief.
For instance, just the other day (March 10) we had two speakers from EDUCHILD/University of Asia and the Pacific come over and talked to our parents on family visioning, the better to make sure that the values we re-inforce in school are the same values taught first by parents to their children at hoime.
In our opinion, there must not be a disconnect between what we teach in school and what our students see in their own homes.
We discourage the unmonitored and unregulated use of gadgets among our students. We talk to the parents to make sure that the parents likewise monitorand regulate the use of gadgets by their children.
We teach piety in school,so we expect Catholic parents to really set aside Sunday for Holy Mass.
In Rosevale we have the mentoring system where everyone from Grade 2 and older is assigned a mentor-- nothing more than a friend the child could go to when he feels he's bullied; when he's lagging in his studies; when he's having difficulties with classmates, and such. That way, problems can be nipped at the bud before they become full-blown. Lagging students, for instance, can be given remedial work by the subject teacher before their grades deteriorate to a serious level.
The mentoring system is also a great way to help keep students focused, and not distracted. We'd often talk with them about their dreams , encourage them to excel oin their endeavors, including progressing in the virtues. We like to catch them doing good, then praise them for it. We like to remind them of their destinies, how someday they'd take over their parents' business; or be a top heart surgeon,or even President of the Philippines!

The iPad is a Far Bigger Threat to Our Children Than Anyone Realizes. Ten years ago, psychologist Sue Palmer predicted the toxic effects of social media. Now she sees a worrying new danger… When the little girl pointed at the sweets at the checkout, her mother said: ‘No, they’re bad for your teeth.’ So her daughter, who was no more than two, did what small chi...
