On 02 May 2026, the Xavier University - Philippine Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (XU-PAF ROTC) conducted its rappelling activity at Emmanuel Pelaez Bridge (Taguanao Bridge), South Diversion Road, Barangay Balulang and Barangay Indahag, Cagayan de Oro City.
The event was overseen by the experienced XU-PAF ROTC NCOIC, TSg Rimcu Irish Francis A Gonzaga PAF.
This activity heightens the cadets' physical endurance, mental fortitude, and situational awareness. By pushing them to conquer their fears and step off the ledge, the exercise instills a profound sense of discipline and trust in their equipment and peers. Ultimately, it forges the courage essential for the future leaders of the reserve force.
