The path to college and scholarship success should never be a journey you have to walk alone. For five years, we have opened our doors to dreamers across Cagayan de Oro who dared to believe in their own potential. Today, we are taking that mission a step further, we are bringing the mentorship, the strategies, and the hope directly to your school doorstep.

We are beyond excited to officially launch ROAD TO SHORE, our campus-visiting caravan dedicated to reaching graduating Senior High School students right where they are.

What began as a quiet hope to guide students through the pressure of review seasons has grown into a movement that refuses to let any dreamer get left behind. When we look at the road ahead, we do not just see campus visits and lecture rooms. We see an opportunity to spark courage in classrooms that need it most. Through this high-energy roadshow, our team is stepping into schools to conduct quick, interactive sessions where we break down university entrance exam strategies, navigate major opportunities like the DOST scholarship, and give students direct, on-the-spot access to apply for our mentorship program.

Five years ago, we started with a simple belief: that no dreamer should ever have to navigate the journey to their college dreams alone. Today, as we officially open the doors to SHORE-Skwela Year 5, we look back at the incredible waves of change we have created together.

What began as a humble initiative to guide aspiring scholars through college entrance and scholarship examinations has grown into a vibrant family of dreamers, volunteers, and leaders. When we look at this milestone, we do not just see five years of review sessions, clean-up drives, and community projects. We see the faces of every SHOREmate who dared to believe in their own potential. We see the sleepless nights turned into passing notices, the timid students transforming into confident community leaders, and the shared joy of families seeing their children step into university.

Reaching our fifth year reminds us that true impact is never measured by numbers, praise, or recognition on a screen. Our legacy lives in the students we guide, the barriers we break, and the culture of selfless service that grows stronger with every batch we welcome. Because here at SHORE-Skwela, we are not just preparing you to pass an exam. We are walking alongside you as you build the future you deserve.

To the dreamers who are ready to take that leap of faith: our sails are set, our doors are wide open, and your ates and kuyas are ready to welcome you home. Thank you to the entire Cagayan de Oro community, our volunteers, and our partners for being our anchor for half a decade.

The tide is rising, and a new wave of Kagay-anon leaders is ready to emerge. Welcome to SHORE-Skwela Year 5! 🌊✨

On July 11, 2026, the energy was electric as visionary young minds and passionate changemakers gathered at Youth Leads 3. For SHORE-Skwela, this was never just another event on the calendar. It was a living, breathing testament to what happens when young leaders refuse to wait on the sidelines and instead choose to build the future themselves.

We opened the doors to our interactive booth with a singular goal: to remind every young Kagay-anon that their dreams are valid, achievable, and worth fighting for. From students asking how to navigate scholarship applications to volunteers sharing their own stories of overcoming barriers, our booth became a hub of hope and connection. Seeing the spark of determination in the eyes of everyone who walked up to our table reminded us why we do this work. You are the reason we continue to push forward.

Our commitment to this gathering ran even deeper than what was visible on the exhibition floor. Wearing our advocacy hats with immense pride, our SHORE-Skwela team worked tirelessly behind the scenes as organizers and leaders of the 3Zero Club Region 10 Network. By helping bring Youth Leads 3 to life, we championed the belief that academic mentorship must walk hand in hand with social responsibility. To truly empower a scholar means fighting for a world of zero carbon emission, zero poverty, and zero unemployment.

People often ask what it takes to lead a movement that lasts. We believe it starts with the courage to show up, the humility to serve, and the unwavering belief that no dreamer should ever be left behind. Whether we are organizing conferences, welcoming students at a booth, or guiding our SHOREmates in a classroom, our purpose remains unchanged. We are here to create spaces where you can rise.

To every student, advocate, and fellow leader who shared that space with us last Saturday: thank you for reminding us that the future is in good hands. The waves of change start with us, and together, we are unstoppable.

Today, our hearts are overflowing with immense pride and gratitude. As we look back on the journey of our aspiring scholars, we are reminded of the very reason SHORE-Skwela was brought to life.

Behind every test paper and examination room are real stories of bravery, late nights of relentless studying, and quiet hopes for a better future. Our SHOREmates took a leap of faith, faced the toughest entrance exams with discipline, and showed what true resilience looks like. Today, we celebrate these incredible collective victories:

* 89% 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗣 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺
* 84% 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽

* 1 𝗨𝗣 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗿
* 1 𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗿

To our brilliant passers: congratulations on conquering this step! Your hard work has opened a new door, and we cannot wait to see you make waves in your dream universities.

And to our brave SHOREmates whose names may not have been on the list this time: we want you to hear this loud and clear. We are just as proud of you. Taking that exam took immense courage, and a single test result will never define your brilliance or your future. "Ahon" does not just mean celebrating when the water is calm. It means learning how to rise every single time a wave knocks you down. Your journey is far from over, there are so many paths to success, and we are right here to help you navigate the next one.

People often ask what keeps SHORE going after all these years. The answer has never been found in titles, recognition, or trophies on a shelf. Our true achievements are not the plaques we receive or a perfect passing rate. Our greatest legacy is all of you.

It is the hopeful smiles of our kids, the courage you all showed by showing up, and the shared bond of a community that refuses to leave anyone behind that brings us to where we are today. Whether you passed today or are gearing up to try again tomorrow, you are the reason we serve. As long as there are youth dreaming of a better future, SHORE-Skwela will always be here to help you rise.

Your ates and kuyas are so proud of every single one of you, SHOREmates! 💙

At SHORE-Skwela, our mission extends far beyond academic review; we are driven to holistically involve and improve both our students and volunteers. By actively participating in these initiatives, we transform community service into a powerful platform for character-building and social responsibility. We believe that service is the ultimate classroom, and our volunteers grow in leadership and empathy alongside the community they serve.

We remain committed to nurturing not only future scholars but lifelong stewards who are ready to rise, serve, and succeed. Our participation in the Lingkod Bata program is just the beginning of our continued dedication to fostering a culture of selfless leadership and environmental awareness.
