𝗦𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿: 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗥𝗘-𝗦𝗸𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗮 4.0 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗞𝗶𝗰𝗸-𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁

Last Sunday, December 14, 2025, 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗥𝗘-𝗦𝗸𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗮 4.0 successfully held its 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗞𝗶𝗰𝗸-𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁, warmly welcoming our newest batch of 4.0 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗥𝗘𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀. The event was held at and generously supported by 𝗕𝘂𝗹𝘂𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹, providing a conducive venue that made the gathering possible.

We were honored to have 𝗣𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗠𝗔–𝗖𝗢𝗖 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 as our guest speakers, who also set up an informative booth to share academic opportunities and insights with our SHOREmates. We also extend our gratitude to 𝗠𝗿. 𝗩𝗼𝗻𝗻 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗮, representative from 𝗖𝗘𝗗𝗢, for leading an engaging Scholarship Talk that guided participants through available programs and application processes.

A highlight of the event was the 𝗠𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 facilitated by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘆𝗰𝗮 𝗜𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗱, where SHOREmates gained valuable interview tips and participated in practice interview scenarios designed to boost their confidence and readiness.

Earlier today, 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 30, 2025, 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗥𝗘-𝗦𝗸𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗮 officially opened the doors of its 4.0 program through an enthusiastic and meaningful onboarding session held at 𝗜𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹. The event gathered our newly accepted participants—each one carrying their own story, aspirations, and determination—as they took their first step toward scholarship readiness and academic growth.

From the welcoming atmosphere to the warm exchanges between students and volunteers, the onboarding set a promising tone for the weeks ahead. Participants were introduced to the heart of SHORE-Skwela: its mission, its people, and its commitment to providing free and accessible review sessions for the youth of Cagayan de Oro City. The day highlighted not just information, but connection—building confidence, sparking motivation, and cultivating a supportive community where learning can truly thrive.

SHORE-Skwela is a 𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝘁, 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵-𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 powered by passionate scholars and volunteers committed to guiding and supporting graduating Senior High School students in Cagayan de Oro City as they prepare for scholarship and college entrance examinations.

The organization aims to help students achieve their dreams and become future scholars by strengthening their academic foundation through 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 that cover key concepts and competencies commonly included in qualifying exams. Beyond the City Scholarship, SHORE-Skwela also opens pathways to opportunities such as DOST, CHED, SM, Ayala, institutional academic scholarships, and other available grants.

Through a supportive learning environment, SHORE-Skwela continues to offer equal access to quality academic preparation for the youth.

𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙎𝙃𝙊𝙍𝙀-𝙎𝙠𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙖 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙩 𝙞𝙩𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙬 𝙨𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨?

SHORE-Skwela holds free review sessions 𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀, structured into 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, each focusing on different subjects. The core areas covered are 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀, 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 — subjects commonly featured in scholarship and college entrance examinations.

In addition to regular review sessions, the organization also conducts key program events such as 𝗢𝗻𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗞𝗶𝗰𝗸-𝗼𝗳𝗳, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 to ensure holistic engagement, orientation, and recognition of participants throughout the program cycle.

From the moment the doors opened, the venue buzzed with anticipation as applicants prepared to share not just their answers, but their dreams.

Across the room, hopeful faces reflected quiet commitment: some enthusiastically prepared for their turn, others exchanged light conversations to ease their nerves, and many simply sat in thoughtful silence—steadying themselves for the moment ahead. As the interviews carried on throughout the day, every applicant brought something uniquely their own: passion, grit, humility, and a genuine desire to grow.

Behind all of this were the SHORE-Skwela officers and volunteers who made sure the process ran smoothly. From guiding applicants to offering reassurance and keeping the flow on track, their effort held the entire day together—steady, patient, and always ready to help.

What unfolded yesterday was more than a series of interviews—it became a space where potential could be seen, where stories were shared, and where many young people allowed themselves to hope a little more. It became a reminder of why SHORE-Skwela exists: to uplift, empower, and provide opportunities for learners who strive for more.
