The Xavier University Teachers’ Guild received the Fr. William Masterson, SJ Outstanding Project of the Year Award during the Magis Awards on June 13 at Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan.
In her acceptance message, USE-CDO 2026 Project Head Ms. Wabe emphasized the need for solidarity among teacher education institutions, especially at a time when the teaching profession is often undervalued through the phrase, “teacher ra man na sila.”
The Xavier University Teachers’ Guild extends its gratitude to the college councils across Cagayan de Oro City that shared the vision of uniting teacher education institutions and strengthening collaboration among future educators.
Congratulations, Collective!

Today, we celebrate 76 years of progress, resilience, and identity as a city we proudly call home.
As Cagayan de Oro marks its 76th Charter Day, we honor the generations of Kagay-anons whose hard work, courage, and dedication have shaped our city into what it is today. Beyond celebrating our achievements, this occasion serves as a reminder that true progress is sustained through good governance, accountability, transparency, and a steadfast commitment to public service.
As citizens, we share the responsibility of fostering a community where leaders are guided by integrity and where institutions remain responsive to the needs and aspirations of the people. Through collective action, civic engagement, and responsible leadership, we can continue building a city that not only grows economically but also upholds the values of justice, trust, and inclusivity.
May this Charter Day inspire us to remain vigilant, engaged, and united in shaping a Cagayan de Oro that reflects the best of its people and the promise of its future.
Happy 76th Charter Day, Cagayan de Oro City! Padayon, City of Golden Friendship.

𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗬 𝟭𝟮𝟴𝗧𝗛 𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬!
Today, we commemorate the 128th Anniversary of Philippine Independence—a tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of the heroes who fought for our freedom.
As we honor their legacy, may we remember that independence is not only a victory of the past but also a responsibility of the present. It calls on us to uphold truth, integrity, accountability, and active citizenship in the pursuit of a nation that genuinely serves its people.
As future educators and leaders, let us continue striving for a Philippines where justice prevails, opportunities are accessible to all, and leadership remains rooted in service rather than self-interest. May the spirit of freedom inspire us to become agents of positive change in our communities and beyond.
Happy Independence Day, Filipinos! 🇵🇭
