Southfield Strengthens School Safety Through PROJECT SHIELD

Today, August 20, 2026, the Philippine Southfield School Guidance Office, in collaboration with the Philippine National Police – Puerto CDO Station, conducted PROJECT SHIELD: School Hazard Information, Emergency Leadership, and Defense, a symposium centered on school safety, threat awareness, and emergency preparedness.

The activity provided students and members of the school community with practical knowledge on staying alert, responding appropriately, and being prepared in the face of potential emergencies and safety concerns.

Beyond individual preparedness, PROJECT SHIELD underscored one important message: school safety is a shared responsibility. Through collective action, cooperation, and awareness, every member of the community can contribute to creating a safer environment.

The activity serves as another step toward strengthening a culture of preparedness and responsibility within Southfield.

Dear Southfield Community,

Please be advised that Philippine Southfield School is implementing strengthened security measures at the campus entry points as a precautionary step to ensure the safety and security of our entire school community.

Students, parents, faculty, staff, and visitors may experience additional security checks and access verification upon entering the campus. Learners arriving by private vehicle, school bus, or on foot will be required to follow the designated security procedures.

Everyone is kindly requested to cooperate with our security personnel and allow additional time for entry, especially during peak hours.

In loving memory of Ma’am Khryztel Faustine Catudio. 🕊️🤍

With heavy hearts, we mourn the untimely passing of our former Guidance Counselor, Ma’am Khryztel Faustine Catudio.

She was more than a counselor. She was a compassionate presence to those who needed someone to listen, an advocate for mental health, and a passionate voice for a better and healthier environment. Through her dedication, kindness, and genuine concern for others, she touched lives and reminded us of the importance of caring for one another and for the world we share.

May her kindness remain in the hearts of those she helped, and may her legacy continue through the causes she believed in.

Rest peacefully, Ma’am Khryztel.

• Location: Respective Sport Assembly Areas
• Details: All participating student-athletes must report on time for mandatory roll call, group warm-ups, and pre-game briefings.
