XALAAI Continues Personal Engagements to Strengthen Scholarship Initiatives

Malaybalay City, Bukidnon — The (XALAAI) continues its personal engagements with alumni, reinforcing its commitment to sustain meaningful programs that support legal education and strengthen alumni involvement.

Just recently, Judge Ma. Theresa A. Camannong, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 9, Malaybalay City and a Director of XALAAI, personally engaged with Atty. Marlowe C. Selecios, fostering dialogue and collaboration in support of the Association’s ongoing initiatives.

During the engagement, Judge Camannong presented the XALAAI Juris Scholarship Program, which provides meaningful assistance to deserving students of the Xavier Ateneo School of Law in their journey toward becoming lawyers for others.

She likewise emphasized the Iggy Bank Program, an initiative introduced by the Xavier University Alumni Relations Office and the Xavier Ateneo Alumni Association Incorporated (XUAAAI). The program encourages alumni to set aside at least ₱10 a day—a simple yet impactful act that, when practiced collectively, becomes a sustainable source of support for future Atenean lawyers. The Iggy Bank, shaped like a cannonball, symbolizes the transformative moment of St. Ignatius of Loyola, reflecting how small acts can lead to profound and lasting change.

In support of these initiatives, a MAGIS Iggy Bank was personally handed over to Atty. Marlowe C. Selecios, who expressed full support for the Association’s continuing efforts to strengthen legal education and alumni engagement.

These efforts reflect XALAAI’s enduring commitment to foster excellence, deepen alumni solidarity, and sustain programs that empower the next generation of Atenean lawyers.

🎓 XALAAI JURIS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM (XJSP) – 2026 EDITION

The invites qualified law students to apply for the XALAAI Juris Scholarship Program (XJSP) 2026.

This program recognizes and supports students who embody academic excellence, integrity, leadership, and commitment to public service, while also assisting those with genuine financial need.

✨ WHO MAY APPLY?

Applicants must:

✔️ Be a full-time law student
✔️ Have completed at least two (2) semesters of law studies
✔️ Have no failing grades and at least an 80% general average
✔️ Be a Filipino citizen
✔️ Be of good moral character
✔️ Demonstrate leadership and active involvement
✔️ Show strong writing skills and commitment to service

📌 Top 1 Dean’s Listers (2nd–4th Year) are automatically eligible (no interview required)

All applicants must:
