The Liceo de Cagayan University ROTC Unit proudly participated in the 4ID ROTC Advance Cadets Summit 2025 held at Camp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City. This two-day transformative gathering strengthened our discipline, patriotism, and dedication to service as future members of the Reserve Force.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division for the opportunity to learn, grow, and be molded into more capable and empowered cadet leaders. Truly, this experience fuels our commitment to uphold the ideals of One AFP, One Philippines.

The 𝑳𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒐 𝒅𝒆 𝑪𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒏 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑹𝑶𝑻𝑪 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒕 proudly held the Joint Opening Ceremony, Turnover of Unit Command, and Course Orientation for the Basic & Advance ROTC Cadets, School Year 2025–2026 at the AVR 1 WAC Building, LDCU Main Campus.

Gracing the event as Guest of Honor and Speaker was 𝘿𝙧. 𝙍𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙖 𝙊. 𝙊𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙯, 𝙋𝙝𝘿, 𝙍𝙋𝙨𝙮, 𝙍𝙥𝙢, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and 𝙇𝙏𝘾 𝘼𝙉𝙎𝙃𝘼𝙍𝙔 𝙐 𝙋𝙐𝙈𝘽𝘼𝙔𝘼 𝙄𝙉𝙁 (𝙂𝙎𝘾) 𝙋𝘼, CDC Director who delivered an inspiring message on leadership, discipline, and service to the nation.

The program also featured the Opening, Presentation of Cadets and Training Staffs, the Turnover of Unit Colors, the message from the Incoming Corps Commander, 𝘾𝘿𝙏 𝙈𝘼𝙅 𝙈𝙀𝙇𝘼𝙉𝙄𝙀 𝘽 𝘾𝙊𝙇𝘼𝙉𝙎𝙀 (𝟭𝘾𝙇), and the orientation of basic cadets signifying the start of another year of training and commitment.

This ceremony marks not only the beginning of ROTC training for SY 2025–2026 but also the strengthening of unity, camaraderie, and the dedication of cadets to serve with honor and integrity.

𝑨𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒆 𝑰𝑰 (𝑰𝒏𝒇) 𝑷𝑨, Opn/Trng NCO, proudly joined the 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐜 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐚𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓.

The contingent marched off to their designated area, awaiting the official start of the parade. Each officer and unit assumed their assigned roles 𝗖𝗗𝗧 𝗠𝗔𝗝 𝗠𝗘𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗘 𝗕 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗘 (𝟭𝗖𝗟) led the staff with the corps commander of each affiliated school. The Colors were led by 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑵𝒆𝒘 𝑬𝒍 𝑺𝒂𝒍𝒗𝒂𝒅𝒐𝒓 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒆 (𝑻𝑵𝑬𝑺𝑪), the Company was led by 𝑶𝒑𝒐𝒍 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒆 (𝑶𝑪𝑪), the Platoon Leaders were led by City 𝑪𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑬𝒍 𝑺𝒂𝒍𝒗𝒂𝒅𝒐𝒓 (𝑪𝑪𝑬), and the Small Unit Tactics was led by the 𝑰𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒐 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒆 (𝑰𝑪) and the participation of 𝑺𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒏 𝒅𝒆 𝑶𝒓𝒐 𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒆 (𝑺𝑷𝑪). The entire formation displayed discipline, unity, and precision throughout the parade.

The activity was successfully completed at around 0830H of the same day, marking another proud and memorable participation of the LDCU ROTC Unit and its affiliated schools in the Higalaay Kagay-an Festival Parade.

This remarkable participation serves as a powerful reminder of the cadets dedication and commitment to service. The display of teamwork and discipline during the Higalaay Kagay-an Festival Parade is not just a celebration, but also a testament to the courage, honor, and resilience of the youth—future leaders who stand ready to serve the nation.

𝗥𝗼𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗳𝗼 𝗡. 𝗣𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗲𝘇, the founder of Liceo de Cagayan University, under the guidance of 𝙎𝙎𝙜 𝙍𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙤 𝙑. 𝘼𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙚 𝙄𝙄 (𝙄𝙣𝙛) 𝙋𝘼, Admin NCO.

The Opol Community College ROTC Unit rendered the firing honor under the supervision of 𝙏𝙎𝙜 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙖 𝙍𝙤𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙖 𝙁. 𝙀𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙤 𝘼𝙍𝙈 𝙋𝘼 (𝙍𝙚𝙨), as the firing commander, and the Southern de Oro Philippine College ROTC Unit stood as the honor guard alongside LDCU ROTC as Color Officers, who maintained a dignified stand throughout the ceremony. All units performed with precision, discipline, and decorum, reflecting honor upon the memory of Atty. Rodolfo N. Pelaez, our beloved founder.

Today, Liceo de Cagayan University commemorates the 45th death anniversary of its Founder, Atty. Rodolfo N. Pelaez.

We honor Atty. Pelaez for the life he lived and the legacy he built. Seventy years since its founding, Liceo stands firm, shaping globally competitive graduates and citizens committed to service.

The Liceo de Cagayan University - ROTC Unit (LDCUROTC) aims to provide military education and training for students to mobilize them for national defense preparedness. The ROTC program places a strong emphasis on demanding instruction in a number of areas, including Cadet Organization Physically, Combat Training, Tactical and Administrative Inspection, Drills and Ceremony, and Civil Operation Activities.

In general, the ROTC in the Philippines is significant in several ways, including economic growth, addiction treatment, national security, and defense.

Liceo de Cagayan University offers NSTP-ROTC Subject for the incoming freshmen (1st year College) and 2nd Year College for all the College student who enrolled in the University.
