LOOK: DON CARLOS MPS IMMEDIATELY ARRESTED THE MALE SUSPECT IN THE BRUTAL KILLING OF HIS 22-YEAR-OLD LIVE-IN PARTNER AT DON CARLOS, BUKIDNON
Don Carlos Municipal Police Station led by PMAJ PATRICK D CASTRO, Officer In-Charge, successfully arrested the male suspect in the brutal killing of his 22-year-old live-in partner at Don Carlos, Bukidnon at Purok 9, Poblacion Sur, Don Carlos, Bukidnon.
The victim was identified as Kemberly Achas y Dutogan, 22 years old, 3rd year college student and a resident of aforesaid place, while the suspect was identified as Elson Erap Jamisula y Campo, 27 years old, jobless, live-in partner of the victim and a resident of the same place. Allegedly, the couple had a prior misunderstanding and the suspect brought their child with him at his uncle’s house at Purok-9, Poblacion Sur, Don Carlos, Bukidnon.
Subsequently, the victim followed him to breastfeed their child but the suspect refused, thus a heated argument ensued between them which resulted in the unfortunate incident. The suspect stabbed the victim with the used of broken glass hitting different parts of the victim’s body. Subsequently, the victim was rushed to Don Carlos Doctor’s Hospital, Don Carlos Bukidnon for medical treatment but pronounced dead on arrival by the responding physician. The suspect fled away after the incident but arrested by the responding PNP personnel. The arrested suspect is now under the custody of Don Carlos MPS for proper disposition.
"The brutal murder of a woman by her live-in partner in Purok 9, Poblacion Sur, Don Carlos, Bukidnon is a gruesome incident perpetrated by a monstrous and terrible mind of a person. Though it is considered an isolated case caused by such misunderstanding of a couple and a relationship problem, still we treat it with inspiring significance for such gruesome crime not to happen again. The suspect immediately flees after the commission of the crime but was eventually apprehended by the responding PNP personnel. Appropriate charge is now being prepared against the suspect." PMAJ CASTRO said.
“Maintain vigilance to strengthen security measures in your area of responsibility, and be alert for any unusual incidents. The killing reveals a degree of wickedness and violence. Relationship requires work and commitment; I urged the public, particularly couples, to seek relationship or marriage counseling, which would allow each couple to communicate with their partner in a healthy way, strengthen their relationship, and help them work through difficulties. Finally, I encouraged everyone to be mindful of their surroundings and to report anyone acting suspiciously or who appears to be threatened in any way as community cooperation and support are essential in making Bukidnon a safe place to live, work and do business." PCOL REYNANTE R REYES said.
I commend the Chief of Police of the Don Carlos Municipal Police Station for his quick response and successful arrest of the suspect. PCOL REYES added.
