The discussion centered on understanding and supporting students with diagnosed conditions and diverse learning needs. Ms. De Las Alas emphasized that teachers are often the first to observe a studentβs struggles; therefore, they play an essential role in ensuring that learners receive proper care, guidance, and classroom support.
Teachers were encouraged to demonstrate patience, empathy, and attentiveness when interacting with these learners. The talk also highlighted the importance of giving clear and manageable classroom instructions, adjusting activities when necessary, and employing inclusive teaching strategies that consider studentsβ different abilities, learning styles, and pacing.
