๐Ÿ” From Threat to Recovery: A Cybersecurity Overview

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation of USTP Cagayan de Oro successfully hosted the workshop โ€œFrom Threat to Recovery: A Cybersecurity Overviewโ€ at the USTPโ€“CDO Boardroom.

The session was led by cybersecurity professionals from the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC), Manila:

The workshop brought together personnel from the USTP Information and Communications Technology Office and the developers of the NTC EDGE System.

Participants gained practical insights into emerging cyber threats, preventive security measures, incident response, and recovery strategies. The activity also emphasized the importance of collaboration, preparedness, and responsible digital practices in protecting institutional systems, data, and digital assets.

USTP extends its sincere appreciation to the CICC speakers for sharing their expertise and strengthening the cybersecurity capabilities of our ICT personnel and system developers.

AI is not just the futureโ€”it is already transforming the way we work today.
Last July 13โ€“15, the OVCRIE and Research Office conducted a three-day activity on the responsible use of artificial intelligence to make administrative and operational processes faster, more accurate, and more efficient.
Through practical discussions and hands-on activities, participants explored how AI can assist in preparing documents, organizing information, analyzing data, generating reports, improving communication, and streamlining daily workflows. The activity also emphasized that AI-generated outputs must always be properly reviewed to ensure accuracy, reliability, and responsible use.
This initiative marks another step toward building a more productive, innovative, and future-ready OVCRIE workforce.
