The Development Communication Department of the College of Agriculture of Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines. The Department is the first of its kind in Mindanao since its birth in the early 1980s. Bachelor of Science in Development Communication is a four-year course comprising preparatory courses in communication techniques, development-oriented social sci
ence courses and an upper class course on communication strategies. The course concentrates on developmental writing, publications design, management and production of community newspaper, writing for communication media, basic photography, audio visual designs and production, video and film production, and production and evaluation of communication media.
