The Department of Education issues the School Calendar and Activities for SY 2021-2022, in accordance with its commitment to learning continuity amidst the health crisis.

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, upon the recommendation of the DepEd Secretary, has approved September 13, 2021 as the opening date of the school year. The school year shall consist of 209 school days and shall end on June 24, 2022.

The conduct of face-to-face classes, whether partial or full scale, will not be allowed unless permitted by the Office of the President.

Ipinagbibigay alam ng Kagawaran ng Edukasyon (DepEd) na kasalukuyan mang nakabinbin ang pag-apruba ng pangkalahatang pagbubukas ng klase at ang kalendaryo sa pag-aaral, ang mga pribado at non-DepEd na mga pampublikong paaralan ay maaari nang simulan ang kanilang klase para sa Taong Panuruan 2021-2022, sa kondisyon na walang face-to-face na klase, at ang mga paaralan ay mahigpit na ipatutupad lamang ang distance learning modalities.

Ang mga pribadong paaralan at mga non-DepEd na pampublikong paaralan na nais magsimula ng klase na mas maaga kaysa sa pangkalahatang pagbubukas ng paaralan ay dapat na magsusumite ng mga kaukulang dokumento sa Regional Director bilang tugon sa DepEd Order No. 13, s. 2020 at DepEd Order No. 17, s. 2020 on readiness assessment.

Ayon sa DO 012, s. 2021, magkakaroon ng adjustments sa SY 2020-2021 school calendar ng mga public schools upang matulungan ang mga mag-aaral na maabot ang required essential learning competencies bunsod ng mga limitasyon sa distance learning. Bukod dito, bibigyan din ng karagdagang instructional time ang mga g**o para sa iba't ibang learning delivery modalities.
