🌏✨ 𝗡𝗡𝗖 𝗕𝗦𝗛𝗠 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗪𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗦𝗞𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗦, 𝗖𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘, 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗛𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗘𝗫𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗔𝗧 𝗔𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗡 𝗛𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗙𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

North Negros College proudly held its BSHM Skills Olympics 2026 on August 25, 2026, at the NNC Annex Campus, carrying the theme “ASEAN Hospitality Fusion 2026: Celebrating Unity Through Service and Culture.”

Organized by the HM République Officers and BSHM Faculty, the Skills Olympics brought together students from the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM), with special participation from students of the Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Technology (HTT) and Diploma in Restaurant Operations Technology (ROT) programs.

More than a competition, the BSHM Skills Olympics provided a dynamic platform for students to put their learning into action. Through various skills-based activities and competitions, participants demonstrated their knowledge, technical competencies, creativity, teamwork, professionalism, and commitment to quality service—essential attributes of future hospitality and tourism professionals.

This year’s ASEAN-inspired theme further emphasized the important relationship between hospitality and culture. By celebrating the diversity of ASEAN traditions while highlighting the universal value of excellent service, the activity encouraged students to appreciate cultural differences, strengthen collaboration, and recognize hospitality as a profession that connects people across borders.

The Skills Olympics also allowed students to challenge themselves beyond the classroom—working under pressure, applying industry standards, collaborating with their teams, and demonstrating the confidence and professionalism expected in the hospitality industry.

North Negros College commends all participating students for bringing their skills, creativity, energy, and competitive spirit to this year’s celebration. Special appreciation is extended to the BSHM Department Faculty, HM République Officers, facilitators, judges, and everyone who contributed to the successful conduct of the activity.

Through experiences such as the BSHM Skills Olympics, North Negros College continues to provide meaningful opportunities where students can transform knowledge into competence and competence into professional excellence.

𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗢𝗬 𝗔𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗡𝗢 𝗗𝗔𝗬 | 𝗜𝗡 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗦𝗔𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗘

Today, we commemorate Ninoy Aquino Day—a day dedicated to remembering the life, courage, and sacrifice of Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr., whose unwavering love for the Filipino people became a lasting symbol of courage in the face of adversity.

Ninoy’s journey reminds us that patriotism is not merely expressed through words, but through the courage to stand for what is right, the willingness to speak for those whose voices are unheard, and the commitment to a better future for the nation.

His sacrifice continues to remind every Filipino that freedom carries with it a responsibility—to remember our history, value our democracy, and actively contribute to the country we hope to build.

As students, writers, artists, and young Filipinos, may we carry forward the courage to speak, the wisdom to remember, and the responsibility to make our voices matter.

Today, we remember not only the man who gave his life for his country, but also the ideals that his sacrifice continues to represent—𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺, 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆, 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲.
