The Philippine Normal University Visayas, through the Student Affairs and Student Services Unit (SASU), extends its heartfelt congratulations to our GCED Ambassadors for proudly representing the University at the Global Citizenship Education (GCED) Youth Summit 2026 in Calamba City, Laguna.

Thank you for carrying the PNU Visayas banner with pride and purpose. Throughout the summit, you demonstrated what it means to learn, to listen, and to stand alongside fellow young leaders who share the same hope of building better communities.

You reflected the kind of leadership that begins with understanding real issues and responding with practical, community-based solutions. It was inspiring to see you share your ideas with confidence while remaining open to learning from others.

The experiences, conversations, and friendships you gained during the summit will surely stay with you long after the event has ended. More importantly, we hope these will inspire you to continue serving with humility, leading with integrity, and using your knowledge to make a meaningful difference wherever you go.

𝗣𝗡𝗨𝗩𝗦𝗚 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗬𝗗𝗖 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽

The Philippine Normal University Visayas Student Government (PNUVSG) is proudly represented by 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗹 𝗟𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗻 and 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀 𝗗𝘄𝗲𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗻-𝗼𝗻, who were selected among 75 youth leaders from across the region to participate in the 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 (𝗟𝗬𝗗𝗖) 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽 of the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗡𝗬𝗖), held on 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟳-𝟵, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, at 𝗦𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹, 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗱 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆.

Following the successful launch of its pioneering camp, the 2nd LYDC Youth Camp continues the National Youth Commission’s initiative to strengthen the capacities of Local Youth Development Councils by promoting leadership, collaboration, and meaningful youth participation in governance and community development.

The PNUVSG extends its sincere gratitude to the Student Affairs and Services Office, headed by Dr. Richelle A. Delmo, for its continued guidance and unwavering support of the Student Government’s endeavors. 💙💛

University Do Day

The Eco Police led the activities in their assigned section during the annual University Do Day, with the support and active participation of faculty, staff, and fellow students in promoting a clean, safe, and green campus. As an Environment and Green Technology Education Hub, the university continues to cultivate environmental responsibility among pre-service teachers and CTL students through meaningful community participation.

KAATHAGAN 2026

The program was designed to provide continuing students (second year to fourth year students) with important updates on academic policies, enrollment procedures, and other campus-related concerns for Academic Year 2026–2027. It also discussed the University's Environmental Management System (EMS), Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM), and Safety and Security Management to promote awareness of environmental sustainability, emergency preparedness, and campus safety. In addition, the program recognized students' achievements through the presentation of co-curricular awards and reinforced the institution's policies on student conduct and discipline. The program concluded with a question-and-answer session, providing students with the opportunity to seek clarification on academic, administrative, and student affairs concerns.

Warm congratulations from the Student Affairs and Services Unit of Philippine Normal University Visayas.

We proudly recognize the outstanding achievement of Dr. Sunday Vince V. Latergo and Dr. Noel S. Marañon for their successful presentation at the 5th International Research and Education Conference (IREC) held in New York City, USA. Their research earned top distinctions, including 1st Place – Best Paper and 1st Place – Best Presenter (Cluster 2), under the categories of Teacher Development, Educational Leadership, and AI-enabled Educational Systems, as well as Educational Leadership (Track 1).

In addition, Dr. Latergo was honored with the Dr. Roberto N. Padua Memorial Award for Excellence in Research and the Light of the World Teaching Service Awards – Diamond Award (10th Year) for his exemplary service in the teaching profession.

Meanwhile, Dr. Marañon received the Light of the Nation Teaching Service Awards – Emerald Jubilee Award (35th Year) in recognition of his long-standing dedication and contributions to education.

The First Year Student Orientation Program introduced students to the university’s academic environment and expectations. It covered important policies on student discipline, campus rules, and proper conduct. Essential information on enrollment processes, attendance guidelines, and classroom responsibilities was clearly explained. Parents were also invited to attend the orientation and support their children’s transition to university life.

As he attends and presents PNUV Graduate School at the 5th International Research and Education Conference(IREC) of the Association of Filipino Teachers and Educators in America(AFTEA), to be held in New York City, USA, from June 26 to July 5, 2026.

PNU Visayas Graduate School Goes Global!

The Philippine Normal University Visayas Graduate School proudly announces that Dr. Noel S. Marañon, Graduate School Coordinator, together with Dr. Sunday Vince V. Latergo, will represent PNU Visayas Graduate School at the 5th International Research and Education Conference (IREC) of the Association of Filipino Teachers and Educators in America (AFTEA), to be held in New York City, United States of America, from June 26 to July 5, 2026.

During the conference, Dr. Marañon and Dr. Latergo will present their collaborative research titled, "The Interplay of Personal Factors, Professional Factors, and Teaching Performance Among U.S.-Based Filipino Educators," contributing to international discussions on educational research and highlighting the excellence of Filipino educators on the global stage.

Their participation reflects the Graduate School's continuing commitment to research excellence, international engagement, and the pursuit of transformative education.

The entire PNU Visayas community wishes Dr. Noel S. Marañon and Dr. Sunday Vince V. Latergo a meaningful and successful participation as they proudly carry the name of Philippine Normal University Visayas Graduate School before the international academic community.
