𝗦𝗩𝗖𝗖 𝗚𝗔𝗗 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

The Gender and Development (GAD) Office successfully conducted a seminar entitled “𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧” on April 8, 2026, at 9:00 AM, held at the SVCC Review Center.

The seminar was actively participated in by college students, making the discussion more engaging, relevant, and meaningful for everyone involved.

The activity aimed to raise awareness on the importance of protecting learners, promoting respect, and understanding how psychosocial support helps individuals who have experienced trauma.

The seminar featured our distinguished speakers 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐰𝐢𝐧 𝐏. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐚, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐚 𝐑. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐧, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐧 𝐙𝐮ñ𝐢𝐠𝐚-𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐚, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐋𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐚 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐚 𝐏. 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐥 who shared valuable insights on child protection, trauma, and how we can respond with empathy and responsibility.

More than just a seminar, it became a space for reflection reminding us that creating a safe and supportive environment starts with simple actions, respect, and awareness.

Through this initiative, the GAD Office continues to promote safe spaces and empower students to become more mindful, responsible, and empathetic individuals.

St. Vincent College of Cabuyao joins the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW)

The Gender and Development Office of St. Vincent College of Cabuyao stands in solidarity with the nationwide 18-Day Campaign for a VAW-Free Philippines, advocating for a safe, just, and inclusive community where women and girls are protected, respected, and empowered.

Let us raise our voices, promote awareness, and take action against all forms of violence. Together, we can build a culture of equality, dignity, and zero tolerance for abuse.

As the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) spearheads the national 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women, we call on every Filipino to move from awareness to action, from advocacy to activism, and from watchers to warriors.

This is more than an invitation; it is a shared national responsibility to ensure every woman and girl lives free from fear, abuse, and violence.

A VAW-free Philippines gives us the following signals for action:
• 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗣 violence against women. Women’s rights are human rights.
• 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 beyond silence. Do not judge a story you don’t fully know.
• 𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗡 with compassion. Put yourself in the shoes of victim-survivors, and champion their right to safety, dignity, and justice.

Ending VAW rests on all of us. Let us rise as one, stand UNiTEd, and build a VAW-free Philippines!
