Did you know that Hiligaynon has many words that come from Spanish?

My girlfriend and I decided to compare some Hiligaynon vocabulary with Spanish, and honestly… we were surprised by how similar some of them are.

Because of Spain’s long history in the Philippines, a lot of Spanish words became part of Filipino languages — and Hiligaynon has quite a few!

​Last night was a blast—we tackled regular -AR verb conjugations and practised them with some real-life sentences. To wrap things up, we did a little "listening challenge" where I dictated sentences, and you guys raced to type them out in the chat.
