𝐕𝐎𝐋𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐌: 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐚 🌿✨

Last March 10, 2026, our 1st Year BS Tourism Management students from C-TM122 (ETY141 & ETY142) under the course 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 embarked on a meaningful journey to 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗷𝗮𝗻, 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗮𝘆𝗷𝗮𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘄, 𝗟𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗮 for a 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 under the tour package “𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 & 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: 𝐀 𝐋𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐚 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐥.” Organized by the 3rd Year BS Tourism Management students (C-TM123 – 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠, Section ETY341), this Southern Laguna voluntourism day tour was designed to provide 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀-𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 and 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.

The tour package offered a short but meaningful educational experience focused on 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 🌾🏞️. Students explored key destinations while participating in immersive activities such as 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘀, 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘀, 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝘃𝗲𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, and 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 🛍️—creating a balance between 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 and 𝗹𝗲𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲. The experience encouraged participants to connect with local communities 🤝 while gaining a deeper appreciation of their traditions and environment 🌿. Students also reflected on how the experience strengthened connections between travelers and local destinations, while documenting the activity as part of their 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞-𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐎𝐁𝐄) requirements 📸.

This journey allowed students to gain a deeper perspective on how tourism can create 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 while remaining 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 and 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 💚🌏. Beyond learning, it became an opportunity to build 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 with local communities and appreciate their culture and way of life 🏡✨. The experience truly reflects how 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 can inspire both 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 and 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 at the same time 🤍🌿.

Students from TM124 – Transportation Management (Section ETY241) participated in the SALCI–PAGSS 5DP Program Seminar and Airport Familiarization, gaining valuable exposure to the aviation industry through a series of engaging sessions and activities.

The program began on February 21, 2026 with an online seminar on Aviation Concepts, introducing students to the fundamentals of airport and airline operations. This was followed by an onsite workshop on February 28, featuring a Flight Attendant Workshop and Rampside Safety Seminar, where students learned essential skills and safety protocols practiced in real airport environments.

From March 5–7, 2026, students experienced Airport Familiarization, providing them with a closer look at the operational side of aviation and strengthening their understanding of transportation management in the industry.

A meaningful learning experience that connects academic knowledge with real-world aviation practices. ✈️📚

From January 31 to February 5, 2026, our 2nd Year and 3rd Year BS Tourism Management and BS Hospitality Management students took part in a meaningful 6D/5N international learning immersion across Hanoi, Sapa, and Ha Long Bay, discovering Vietnam’s rich heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and dynamic tourism environment.

More than a tour, this course-aligned program fulfilled the academic requirements of:

📌 C-TM121 – Global Culture and Tourism Geography
📌 C-TM124 – Transportation Management
📌 C-TM123 – Tour and Travel Operations with Tour Guiding

Through on-site exposure, students deepened their understanding of Vietnam’s cultural heritage, tourism landscape, and transportation systems by exploring key destinations, observing travel and transport infrastructure, and applying tour operations and tour guiding concepts in an international setting.

From navigating city routes and transport hubs to experiencing destination planning in real time, this immersion strengthened practical skills, cultural appreciation, and global perspective, shaping future tourism and hospitality professionals ready for the industry. 🌏📚
