STUDENTS’ DORMITORY BLESSING AND INAUGURATION
August 4, 2026 | Lupon, Davao Oriental

A meaningful milestone for the students of Davao Oriental State University – Lupon External Classes was celebrated today through the Students’ Dormitory Blessing and Inauguration.

The DOrSU–Banaybanay Campus Student Council (BCSC), together with Campus Administrator Ma’am Analie Nemenzo and BCSC Adviser Sir Abrelle John R. Linsag, participated in this significant occasion alongside Municipal Mayor Santos "Sonny" Alonzo Jr., Vice Mayor Christian Lawrence "Chrence" Go, and other members of the Municipal Council.

The event commenced with a solemn blessing of the newly established students’ dormitory, followed by messages from the distinguished guests and stakeholders who shared their support, encouragement, and commitment to providing a better and more conducive environment for students.

The program was then highlighted by the formal inauguration of the dormitory, marking another step toward strengthening student welfare and supporting the needs of DOrSU students in the Lupon External Classes.

This milestone reflects the collective efforts and shared commitment of the university and local government in creating opportunities and providing essential support for students. More than a facility, the dormitory stands as a testament to the continuing dedication to ensuring that every student is given a safe, accessible, and supportive space where they can focus on their education and pursue their aspirations.

May this new facility serve as a place of comfort, growth, and meaningful experiences for the students it is built to serve.
