Ayon sa Proklamasyon Blg. 1041 na nilagdaan noong 1997 ng dating-Pangulong Fidel V. Ramos, ang buwan ng Agosto ay itinatalaga bilang panahon upang bigyang-diin ang kahalagahan ng ating wika at kultura.

Sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika sa temang “𝙁𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙤: 𝙒𝙞𝙠𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙈𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙥𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙖" , ang St. Vincent College of Cabuyao, katuwang ang mga g**o ng Filipino mula sa Departamento ng Senior High, ay maglulunsad ng mga patimpalak upang ipakita ang ating pagmamalaki sa ating wika at kultura.
