Hi Luke, can you check from space if our planet Earth is crying? ๐ŸŒŽ๐Ÿš€

Meet Luke, our amazing Grade 3 pupil, sharing fascinating trivia about space and astronauts! ๐ŸŒŒ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿš€

We are rooting for your success in the field of Science, Luke. May your curiosity lead you to discover something meaningful and significant for our planet someday.

How amazing it is to see that, since your Pre-Elementary years, your Science teachers have continuously ignited your love for learning, nurtured your curiosity, and encouraged your brilliance in discovering fascinating facts about Science.

Kudos to all your teachersโ€”from Pre-Elementary to Grade 3โ€”for recognizing, nurturing, and honing your potential along the way. Your journey is just beginning, Luke, and we believe there is a bright future waiting for you.

Keep asking questions. Keep exploring. Keep discovering. ๐Ÿš€

We are proud to have you as one of our Rooted Redeemians!

How do you teach your learners the importance of unity in achieving a common goal? ๐Ÿค

During the Spanish colonization of the Philippines, the struggle for independence was affected by the lack of unity among different groups, who often had varying interests, priorities, and perspectives. This division, along with limited resources and military equipment, made the fight for independence even more difficult and prolonged.

To help our learners understand the importance of unity, trust, and cooperation, we turned the lesson into a meaningful and engaging activity. ๐Ÿ’ก

For this activity:

๐Ÿ”น The learners were divided into groups of 5โ€“6 members.
๐Ÿ”น Some members were blindfolded and had to trust and follow the leaderโ€™s instructions to accomplish their goal.
๐Ÿ”น The leader and members had to stay together while searching for questions placed around the campus grounds.
๐Ÿ”น Once they found a question, the group had to return to their designated area to work together and answer it.
๐Ÿ”น After completing the activity, they checked and reflected on their answers as a group.

More than simply mastering concepts, this activity allowed learners to experience the value of unity firsthand. They learned that achieving a goal is not only about individual ability, it also requires trust, communication, cooperation, and a shared purpose.

This is one of our formative assessments in Araling Panlipunan (Social Studies), where learning goes beyond knowledge and understanding. While learners develop mastery of the concepts, values formation is also intentionally integrated into the learning experience.

Because sometimes, the best way to understand the importance of unity is to experience what happens when we workโ€”or fail to workโ€”together. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

This instructional strategy was conceptualized and developed by Ms. Jayann.

From concepts to creation, our SHS students brought their Chemistry lessons to life through a hands-on Valence Electron Model Making activity featuring the f-block elements (Lanthanides and Actinides).

Working together, they used different materials to create models that represent valence electrons and valence shells. More than simply making a model, the activity gave them the chance to apply what they learned, be creative, work as a team, and explain their ideas.

Itโ€™s always exciting to see students learn beyond the pages of a textbook. When they get to build, explore, and create, learning becomes more meaningful and memorable.

๐Ÿ‘ A special shoutout to Ms. Yna, our SHS General Science Teacher, for coming up with this engaging performance task and giving our students the opportunity to experience Chemistry through hands-on learning.
