The CITI Global College Inc. was invited to the 2nd UTHP National Convention and Skills Competition with the theme: “Empowering Future-Ready Tourism and Hospitality Professionals towards a Sustainable and Innovation-Driven Industry” organized by the United Tourism and Hospitality Professionals, Inc. (UTHP), in partnership with Batangas State University – Malvar and De La Salle Lipa.

The College of International Tourism Management Major in Aviation was in attendance at the convention held on October 3, 2025, at the Aquamarine Recreational Center in Brgy. Banay-Banay, Lipa City, Batangas.

The event aims to:

1. Promote awareness and understanding of current and emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in the tourism and hospitality industry with a focus on sustainability and innovation.

2. Inspire thoughtful reflection and forward-thinking on the future of sustainable tourism and hospitality.

3. Showcase the talents and competencies of students and professionals through competitive activities.

4. Promote healthy competition and camaraderie among participants from various institutions across the nation.

The speakers of the convention highlighted the following points:

1 .Sustainability in the industry requires the use of long-term strategies to ensure the proliferation of the tourism and hospitality sectors.

2. This involves utilizing and benefiting from resources responsibly while actively denouncing the exploitation of both human labor and natural resources.

3 .Technology was also emphasized as playing a vital role in significantly honing the efficiency of both industries.

4. Education is key to acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary for career development.

5. CHED highlighted the importance of curriculum alignment, focusing not just on theoretical knowledge but also on its practical application to reflect future industry needs.

6. One of the speakers advised that everyone should be a critical thinker, avoid being allured by fallacies, and carefully balance the potential effects of every outcome.

7. Empowerment means taking bold decisions and actions, acquiring the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to become a game-changer within an organization or community.

8 Cultural and heritage preservation is the practice of protecting and maintaining tangible elements, traditions, and oral histories for the benefit of present and future generations.

9. discussion point, highlighting its potential to maximize workforce potential and ease manual operations in both industries

The momentous event will significantly shape the future of students and industry members, driving efforts to promote, sustain, and transform Filipino culture and resources and deliver substantial economic contributions.
