As our future educators take another significant step toward the teaching profession, the College of Education successfully conducted the final session of the 𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗔: 𝗧𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗼 𝘀𝗮 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 Orientation, held at Pamantasan ng Cabuyao Gymnasium 1.

The event was graced by the presence of distinguished school principals, assistant principals, and representatives from various cooperating public and private schools, whose participation reflected their continued partnership and shared commitment to mentoring the University's pre-service teachers. Also in attendance was 𝗗𝗿. 𝗥𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗲 𝗭. 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘃𝗮, Education Program Specialist II for Social Mobilization and Networking (SocMoNet) of the Schools Division Office of Cabuyao, Laguna, whose presence further strengthened the collaboration between the Department of Education and Pamantasan ng Cabuyao in preparing competent, ethical, and future-ready educators.

To formally commence the program, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗜. 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗼𝗳𝗲, Department Chair of BSEd-English, introduced the distinguished guests, university officials, school administrators, and cooperating school representatives, acknowledging their invaluable role in the successful implementation of the Teaching Internship Program.

Following this, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗡𝗶𝗸𝗸𝗶 𝗖𝗿𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗹 𝗔. 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗰, Dean of the College of Education, presented a comprehensive discussion on the Teaching Internship Program, highlighting its objectives, expectations, and significance as the culminating academic experience of every pre-service teacher. She emphasized the importance of professionalism, accountability, and excellence as student interns begin their field experience.

Subsequently, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗜. 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗼𝗳𝗲 facilitated the discussion on the Teaching Internship Guidelines, thoroughly explaining the internship policies, ethical standards, attendance requirements, grading system, professional conduct, and expectations that every student intern must uphold throughout their deployment.

Meanwhile, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗗. 𝗢𝗯𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗼, Director of the Admissions Department, addressed the students' Admission Concerns, providing essential clarifications regarding enrollment procedures, academic requirements, and other matters related to the Teaching Internship.

To further address the concerns, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗺 𝗢. 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗮, Department Chair of BSEd-Social Studies, facilitated the Open Forum, where students were given the opportunity to raise questions and seek clarifications regarding internship requirements, deployment, and university policies.

Finally, the orientation concluded with the Closing Remarks of 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗗. 𝗥𝗲𝘆, Vice President for Planning, Research, and Extension, who inspired the future educators to embody the University's core values of excellence, integrity, professionalism, and service as they embark on one of the most meaningful milestones of their academic journey.

As the College of Education officially embarks on another chapter of its Teaching Internship Program, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our cooperating school principals, assistant principals, and school representatives for their unwavering support, trust, and commitment to mentoring our future educators. 𝑯𝑨𝑷𝑷𝒀 14𝒕𝒉 𝑪𝑨𝑩𝑼𝒀𝑨𝑶 𝑪𝑰𝑻𝒀𝑯𝑶𝑶𝑫 𝑨𝑵𝑵𝑰𝑽𝑬𝑹𝑺𝑨𝑹𝒀!

𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰?

The name Cabuyao started from the word “𝙆𝙖𝙗𝙪𝙮𝙖𝙬”, a citrus tree filling bounteously in the space which is utilized then by the locals in washing hair and later developed as the town's area reference. Embraced by Franciscan monks and Spanish authorities, it replaces the town's native name of '𝗧𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗸𝗼'. Proclaimed by Miguel Lopez De Legazpi as an encomienda or town on 1571, Tabuko was then the focal point of government, made initially out of barangays Malabanan (Biñan City), Sta. Rosa de Lima (City of Santa Rosa), and (Calamba City). Not only these are the highlight of the city but also people themselves. Cabuyao is known for hardworking and hospitable citizens that in every week the plaza or town proper is filled with vendors and
locals that buy different products and supplies.

Through the years, it grew steadily until August 04, 2012, former President Benigno Aquino Ill approved House Bill No. 4259, or the 𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐮𝐲𝐚𝐨 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫, officially turning our beloved town into city.

Cabuyao is home to so many things we can be proud of: from historic sites like the centuries-old Cabuyao Church and the ancestral houses of our patriots, Nestle Philippines, Asia Brewery, Inc., San Miguel Corporation, Wyeth Philippines, Inc., LISP, Malayan Colleges Laguna, and our very own Pamantasan ng Cabuyao. We are also loved for our delicious local treats such as creamy Kesong Puti, sweet Maja Blanca, fluffy P**o Biñan, and the famous Café de Cabuyao from Barangay Casile, once ranked among the best coffee in the Philippines.

From our rich past to our bright tomorrow, we stand proud of where we come from and excited for all that lies ahead.

Pamantasan ng Cabuyao proudly congratulates 𝗝𝗵𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗔. 𝗥𝗲𝗯𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮, from the 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀, for receiving the prestigious Emerging Scholar Award at the GARI International Conference on Science, Technology & Data-Driven Innovation 2026, held last June 18–19, 2026.

His research, “𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵, 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁, 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘆: 𝗢𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀’ 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗯𝘂𝘆𝗮𝗼, 𝗟𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗮,” was recognized among more than 100 international participants for its academic quality, originality, innovation, and societal impact.

This milestone was achieved under the mentorship of Mr. Edward Francis G. Gabor, LPT, MAEd, whose dedication to research guidance continues to inspire excellence among PNC scholars.
