Four Young Trailblazers: NES to send First Boy Scouts to APR Jamboree 2025
For the first time in the school’s history, four Boy Scouts from Namruangan Elementary School will proudly represent their community in the 33rd Asia-Pacific Regional Jamboree set to take place at Kainomayan Camp, Municipality of Botolan, Province of Zambales this December 14-21, 2025.
The selected scouts: Gabrielle Nhinn M. Dolores, Rhayko S. Tabuga, Vince Arvie M. Tabuga and Marcus Andrei A. Tacadena will join more than 400 Ilocos Sur Council scouts and leaders, together with the thousands of delegates from across the Philippines and neighboring countries in one of the largest international scouting gatherings in the region. The event will feature camping activities, leadership workshops, cultural exchanges, and outdoor challenges designed to strengthen camaraderie and global citizenship.
Mr. Nathaniel S. Santella, the school head expressed immense pride at this historic milestone. “This is a breakthrough for Namruangan Elementary School. Our scouts have worked hard, trained diligently, and now they will carry our school’s name to an international stage and this once in a lifetime opportunity will shape their character for life,” he said.
Parents and teachers alike have shown full support as the boys prepare for the week-long event. Mr. Romel R. Garcia, school BSP coordinator highlighted the significance of the experience that attending the Asia-Pacific Jamboree will expose the scouts to new cultures, new friends, and new lessons that go beyond the classroom.
In addition, perennial sponsors of the Namruangan ES community also provided financial assistance to the delegates to support their camping needs. Teachers believe together with the parents that this participation will inspire younger learners to pursue scouting and embrace values such as teamwork, resilience, and patriotism.
As the departure date draws near, the four young trailblazers together with their institutional representative, Mr. Nathaniel S. Santella as one of the Contingent Management Team (CMT) will carry with them the hopes and pride of Namruangan Elementary School. Their journey to Zambales marks not just a personal achievement, but a significant chapter in the school’s growing commitment to excellence in scouting.
