"✨A STORY OF SOMEONE✨"
(‼️Must read‼️)
"When I was a kid, I'm always weak when it comes handling pressure and stress. Yes! My mind is weak and I'm really aware of this thing. I do want to solve this but my weak mind made me think that I'm always like this. That time, I also think that maybe I'm not capable of solving this thing right now because I'm just a kid and I have a lot to understand.
However, time passes and my pressured felt also rise up. I've always tended to overthink all the things happen around me. In school, I started to feel academic pressure because I wanted to maintain my high grades consistently, mainly because I was use to being a top achiever, even my parents never pressured me to get a high grades. Luckily, I graduated at my elementary school as a consistent top achiever from kinder to G-6.
Though, things changed when I entered high school. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I shifted to modular learning and my grades drop to 92 in Grade-7. I mean, that grade is decent, but yeah, that's not my prepared grade. Here's funniest things that time, I was even surpassed by my classmates in elementary who weren't as smart, but I don't know, I didn't felt much stress not getting my prepared grades, I'm amused. I think the reason is I had another priorities that time, I'm addicted to my phone and online games.
When face to face classes resumed, I felt doubled in pressure because I lost my time management skills(kala mo namang meron) and focus in school due to excessive use in phone and playing online games. Thankfully, I still manage to be a top student.
As time went on, my pressure felt intensified and I started to overthink everything. I forced my self to get high grades and meet expectations, even if it didn't bring me happiness. I was always pushing my self to achieve my expected grades that time and meet my own expectations, even it meant hurting myself.
That's when I remembered something I realized when I was younger:that we will learn a lot of things as we grow up, and went on a lot of challenges but we we'll learn to overcome and make it as a lesson. I recalled that I've struggled with mental health issues for a long time. That's why I gained maturity, especially when my father pass away, but his words will always remain in my mind. That words gave me strength to overcome every challenges I faced.
Yes, as time went on, pressure and stress kept increasing, but I've changed. I realized that I can really solve problems and challenges with confidence and positivity. Eventually I search for what made me happy. I learned that I don't need to overthink everything or force myself to meet expectations. I don't need to get the grades I aspire to; whats important is that I do my best to and accept what I can achieve with an open heart.
I found my self in singing, songwriting, playing instrument, cooking, acting and writing(woah dami ko pala kaya, all this time ini stress ko sarili ko sa walang kwenta). This activities brought me joy and helped me discover myself. I still have a lot to go but I know this is the start for my brighter future.
I still felt pressured but it's now the feeling of excitement and anticipation when I performed in stage😁."
✨This story reminds us that even the highest stair of expectations can't bring us to the brightest star we want, it only lead us to our destructions of every step we take in our life. That's why choose happiness, then you can eventually find your trueself.✨
Quote for today: ✨❗Expectations is not what truly your heart desire, that's from your selfish mind.❗✨
