CNSAT Holds 1st PTA General Assembly; Unveils School Services and Key Academic Updates
Cabarroguis National School of Arts and Trades (CNSAT) successfully conducted its 1st General Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) Assembly today, June 11, 2026, at the CNSAT Gymnasium. The event brought together school administrators, faculty, local officials, and parents to discuss the school's direction, financial standing, and upcoming academic systems.
The assembly opened with a solemn invocation led by JHS Teacher III Phoebe Mae A. Madiano, followed by the national anthem led by SHS Teacher VI Myla O. Daprosa.
Dr. Reagan Buyucan, the GSPTA President, formally welcomed the attendees during his opening remarks, emphasizing the critical role of strong parental involvement in student success. The event was further graced by Gundaway Barangay Captain, Hon. Ferdinand M. Dulnuan duly Represented by Hon. Igagna, who delivered a supportive welcome address highlighting community-school partnerships.
A major highlight of the gathering was the State of the School Address (SOSA) delivered by School Principal IV, Richard C. Subia, PhD. Dr. Subia outlined the institution's recent achievements, infrastructure developments, and long-term vision for CNSAT.
Following the SOSA, the school presented its specialized student services to the parents:
Guidance Services: Introduced by Rhodalinda P. Aliaga (Guidance Counselor I)
Library Services: Presented by Ligaya C. Uao (Librarian I)
Health Services: Led by Rayleigh D. Santiago (Nurse II)
Canteen Services: Managed by Teresita P. Tabangin, PhD (MT I)
Adding vibrant energy to the midday program, the Talakultura Dance Company, under the care of Apple Mae S. Carorocan, treated the audience to a spectacular intermission number.
To maintain transparency within the organization, GSPTA Treasurer Lilibeth Bandao presented a detailed PTA Financial Report, breaking down the collection and allocation of association funds.
In terms of academics, Master Teacher I David B. Dichoso, PhD, discussed a vital shift in the academic structure, presenting the 3-Term Block and Grading System. This transition aims to streamline learning periods and provide a more balanced assessment framework for the students.
The assembly transitioned into an Open Forum moderated by Teacher III and GSPTA Coordinator, Jocelyn D. Natividad. Parents actively participated, raising questions and suggestions regarding school policies, student welfare, and safety measures.
The event concluded with closing remarks from Vilma L. Carlos, PhD (Master Teacher II / SHS OIC-Assistant Principal), who thanked the parents for their unwavering presence and commitment.
The program was smoothly hosted by the Masters of Ceremony, Mhark Alvin Dela Cruz and Gina Rose Franco.
