PART 3


If I could write to my younger self, I would tell her that there’s so much waiting for her in the future — wonderful things that she had never imagined — like becoming a music intructor, when she cannot even afford to enroll in piano lessons and find a teacher, much more becoming a music conductor when she never get to achieve one of her dreams to have a degree in music. But life has so much more to offer than disappointments and denials, and one day those detours will finally lead you to the best path GOD has for you when you thought what you want for yourself is better. And whenever I see these kids, my students, I can’t help but get excited to dream of what GOD has in store for them! And imagine being a part of their story? Oh, how blessed I am to be employed by GOD as a music teacher!

My greatest salary is seeing shy kids courageously step forward to play their music on the stage and smile at me at the end of the song as if they were telling me, “I made it! Thank you for believing in me.” I’m still in tears to realize while writing this, that I am at the point of my life where I see right before my eyes the dreams, I didn’t know I have, getting fulfilled. My students are my fulfillment! My heart is overflowing and I couldn’t ask for more!

To all the parents of my students, I’ll be forever grateful of your trust in me and the chance you’ve given me to be a part of your child’s life. To my ever supportive parents, I am here today because of your love. To my students, I will always be here to believe in you, as your proud music teacher. And most of all, to GOD, whom I owe all the ability, the talents, the blessings that I have, I will not be here without Your grace LORD!

“And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry.” - 1 Timothy 1:12
