𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | 𝐅𝐋𝐀𝐆 𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆

On 05 October 2026, at 0700H, the WU-P Cadets conducted the Flag Raising Ceremony at Wesleyan University–Philippines. The activity was held to formally observe the raising of the national flag and to promote patriotism, discipline, and respect for national symbols within the university community. Participants assembled in an orderly manner, rendered the appropriate honors, and observed proper decorum throughout the ceremony.

As the Philippine flag was raised, the ceremony served as a meaningful reminder of unity, civic responsibility, and love for country. Through the disciplined participation of the WU-P Cadets, the activity marked a dignified and inspiring start to the day, reinforcing the values of service, leadership, and nationalism.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | 𝟖𝐓𝐇 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐃𝐀𝐘

On October 03, 2026, at exactly 0700H, the NSTP ROTC Cadets assembled at the Wesleyan University Philippines Grounds for their 8th Training Day of the Academic Year 2026–2027. The activity commenced with a Flag Ceremony, followed by the formation of each company. After the formation, the cadets underwent practical instruction on the 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐬 conducted by the Cadet Officers, further enhancing their military bearing, discipline, precision, and coordination. The training provided cadets with the opportunity to strengthen their mastery of fundamental military movements and develop greater confidence in drill ex*****on.

Following the field instruction, the cadets proceeded to their classroom session, where 𝟐𝐋𝐓 𝐃𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐄𝐋 𝐑. 𝐕𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐃𝐎𝐑 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐄𝐓) discussed the topic of 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲. The lecture provided valuable insights into the evolution of the Philippine military, its significant contributions to nation-building, and the heroic sacrifices of Filipino soldiers throughout history. The 8th Training Day served as another meaningful milestone in strengthening the cadets’ knowledge, patriotism, discipline, and commitment to becoming responsible and service-oriented citizen soldiers.

On 02 October , 2026, at 1700H, the WU-P Cadets conducted the Flag Retreat Ceremony at Wesleyan University–Philippines. The activity was held to formally observe the lowering of the national flag and to uphold patriotism, discipline, and respect for the country's national symbols. Participants observed proper decorum and rendered the appropriate honors throughout the ceremony.

As the flag was gradually lowered, the ceremony served as a solemn reminder of unity, civic responsibility, and love for the nation. Through the disciplined participation of the WU-P Cadets, the activity concluded with dignity and respect, marking a meaningful end to the day's activities.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | 𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐑𝐒 𝟕

The activity “𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗺𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗖 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 (𝗦𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗥𝗦 𝟳)”was successfully conducted on 26–27 September 2025 at the 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division, Philippine Army, Fort Magsaysay, Palayan City, Nueva Ecija. The two-day leadership enhancement program brought together outstanding ROTC cadets from Regions I and III, including the proud representative of the Wesleyan University-Philippines ROTC Unit, 𝗖𝗗𝗧/𝗟𝗧𝗖 𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗟 𝗝𝗨𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗖𝗘𝗦 𝗟 𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗔, 𝟭𝗖𝗟, Corps Commander

Spearheaded by COL GEORGE M BERGONIA, (MNSA) INF PA, Assistant Division Commander for RRA, the activity aimed to further develop the leadership competencies, discipline, and character of ROTC cadets, preparing them to become responsible, service-oriented, and capable future leaders of the nation.

As part of the program, the cadets were given the opportunity to visit and learn from various elite units of the Philippine Army, including the 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗲), 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗔𝘃𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. These engagements provided valuable insights into the operational excellence, professionalism, and commitment of the Armed Forces in safeguarding the nation.

One of the highlights of the activity was the cadets’ participation in marksmanship training, where they were able to demonstrate and enhance their shooting skills using the R4 R***e and 45 Caliber Pistol. This hands-on experience strengthened their confidence, discipline, and appreciation for the importance of precision, responsibility, and fi****ms safety in military service.

SALARS 7 served not only as a platform for leadership development but also as an avenue for cadets to immerse themselves in the noble traditions and core values of the Philippine Army. The experience inspired them to continue upholding the ideals of the ROTC and to prepare themselves as future defenders and leaders of the country.

At WU-P ROTC, discipline is not merely about following orders, it is about building character, strengthening leadership, and preparing cadets to become responsible citizens and future leaders.

On September 26, 2026, at exactly 0730H, the NSTP ROTC Cadets assembled at the Wesleyan University Philippines Grounds for their 7th Training Day of the Academic Year 2026–2027. The activity commenced with a Flag Ceremony, followed by the awarding of certificates to the Most Active Cadets from the 1st to the 6th Training Day and the recognition of cadets who participated in the Bloodletting Activity held on August 15, 2026. The event also included the Oath of Plebes for aspiring Cadet Officers, marking an important step in their leadership journey and commitment to serving the ROTC unit. After these ceremonies, the cadets proceeded to the formation of their respective companies and underwent practical instruction on the 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐬 conducted by the Cadet Officers, further enhancing their discipline, precision, and military bearing.

Following the field instruction, the cadets proceeded to their classroom session, where 𝐋𝐓𝐂 𝐌𝐀 𝐁𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐀 𝐑. 𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐑𝐀 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐄𝐒), Assistant Commandant, discussed the topic of 𝐇𝐲𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. The lecture emphasized the importance of maintaining personal cleanliness, proper sanitation practices, and health awareness as essential components of a disciplined and effective cadet. The 7th Training Day served as another significant milestone in strengthening the cadets’ leadership, knowledge, discipline, and commitment to becoming responsible and service-oriented citizen soldiers.
