The College of Management and Business Technology (CMBT) secured a significant milestone as part of the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST), which ranked 100th among universities in the Philippines in the 2026 Alper-Doger (AD) Scientific Index. Among public higher education institutions, the university placed 58th, with over 150 faculty researchers recognized in the global bibliometric evaluation.

Leading the recognition are standout CMBT faculty members: Dr. Kenneth L. Armas (Top 6), Dr. Jennifer G. Fronda (Top 9), and Mercedes D. Santos, former Hospitality Management Department Head (Top 12), whose remarkable contributions highlight the collegeโ€™s strong research performance.

Joining them among the 150 NEUST researchers are distinguished academic leaders and CMBT faculty members, including Dean Dr. Sarah C. Alvarez, Tourism Management Department Head Dr. Kelvin Julius A. The College of Management and Business Technology (CMBT) of Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST), in collaboration with Universitas Muhammadiyah Kendari, successfully conducted the webinar โ€œNew Age Entrepreneurs: Leveraging Digital Disruption for Sustainable and Profitable Venturesโ€ last March 30, 2026 via Zoom and Facebook Live. The event gathered entrepreneurs, professionals, faculty members, students, and aspiring innovators for an engaging and insightful virtual learning experience.

The program was smoothly facilitated by Dr. Arjhel Domingo, who served as the Master of Ceremonies, guiding participants throughout the event. It commenced with opening remarks from Dean Dr. Sarah C. Alvarez, setting the tone for a meaningful discussion.

The first speaker, Ms. Joby Linsangan-Moreno, was introduced by Dr. Joy Savellano, and delivered valuable insights on new age entrepreneurship and digital technology. A photo opportunity followed, capturing the active participation of attendees.

The session continued with the introduction of the second speaker by Dr. Rollieza Grace Taruc, leading to an enriching talk from Mr. Rahmat Nasrullah, S.Pd., M.Hum., who shared his perspectives on the entrepreneurship landscape in Indonesia.

The webinar also featured an interactive forum and awarding segment, moderated by Dr. Reynante P. Blas and Dr. Mark Anthony Tangunan. The announcements were delivered by Mr. Jonas Emmanuel C. Navarro, and the program concluded with the closing remarks of Dr. Marilou P. Pascual, Training Director of NEUST.

The success of this event was made possible through the leadership of Dr. Mark Anthony Tangunan, serving as the Training Leader, whose dedication ensured the smooth and impactful delivery of the webinar.

Strengthening financial literacy and institutional understanding, the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) successfully conducted the hybrid seminar titled โ€œUnderstanding the Philippine Financial Systemโ€ on February 19, 2026, at Nieto Hall, Sumacab Campus, with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).

Organized by the College of Management and Business Technology (CMBT) in collaboration with the Learning and Development Unit of the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO), the seminar provided valuable insights into the structure, supervision, and reform initiatives shaping the countryโ€™s financial system.

The CMBT Research, Extension, and Training (RET) Office actively demonstrated its support by attending and participating in the seminar, reinforcing its commitment to academic excellence and professional development.
