The major increase in the enrolment came from NARIC Elementary School. Pupils from this school were transferred to Imelda Elementary School in 1977-1978 because NARIC Elementary school site was claimed by its owner - the National Rice and Corn Corporation (now known as NFA). Imelda Elementary School began with three buildings. Through the help of the city and national government, GO’s, NGO’s, and other internal and external stakeholders of the school, the insufficiency of classrooms caused by the continuous increase in enrolment has been addressed through the construction of additional school buildings. Now, Imelda Elementary School is manned by an Elementary School Principal II with twenty-five (25) teachers and one (1) utility worker. The school is continuously working and striving hard to attain academic excellence.
