M.V. GALLEGO FOUNDATION COLLEGE INC., GINAWARAN NG PAGKILALA SA TANGLAW CENTRAL LUZON

Tumanggap ng pagkilala ang Manuel V. Gallego Foundation Colleges, Inc. (MVGFCI) mula sa Commission on Higher Education (CHED) sa isinagawang TANGLAW Central Luzon 2026.

Tinanggap nina Dr. Joseph L. Gallego, pangulo ng MVGFCI, at Prof. Rene Boy E. Abiva, Director ng Community Extension and Outreach Program at Manuel V. Gallego Center for Creative Arts and Cultural Heritage, ang naturang pagkilala.

Kinilala ang MVGFCI para sa entry nitong “Talipapa Antolohiya: Mga Tulang Pambata,” na naging bahagi ng pagkilala sa mga inisyatiba sa kultura, pagkamalikhain, community engagement at edukasyon.

Samantala, iniugnay rin ng institusyon ang naturang pagkilala sa naging performance nito sa 2026 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI).

Noong Mayo 7, 2026, nakamit ng MVGFCI ang ika-55 puwesto sa buong mundo sa Culture/Values (B4) Top 100 category ng WURI.

Ayon sa institusyon, ito ang unang WURI-related award na natanggap ng MVGFCI.

Itinuturing ito ng paaralan bilang panibagong milestone sa patuloy nitong mga programa sa innovation, culture at community development, kasabay ng pakikilahok nito sa mga pandaigdigang pagkilala sa larangan ng akademya.

MVGFCI-CEOP CONDUCTS INCIDENT BLOTTER REPORT WRITING TRAINING IN BRGY. ZULUETA

CABANATUAN CITY — The Manuel V. Gallego Foundation Colleges, Inc. (MVGFCI), through the Community Extension and Outreach Program (CEOP), conducted Project KALASAG: Incident Blotter Report Writing on September 18, 2026, at Barangay Zulueta, Cabanatuan City.

The activity was facilitated by Lowell Jimenez, ICJE CEOP Coordinator, who guided participants on the proper preparation, organization, and documentation of incident blotter reports.

The training emphasized the importance of accurate, complete, and objective incident documentation to support proper barangay record-keeping and reporting. The activity forms part of MVGFCI-CEOP’s continuing efforts to provide capacity-building initiatives that respond to community needs.

MV Gallego Foundation Colleges Joins Global School Alliance

Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija — Manuel V. Gallego Foundation Colleges, Inc. (MVGFCI) has been officially recognized as a registered member of the Global School Alliance, marking another milestone in the institution’s continuing efforts toward global engagement and educational partnerships.

The membership certificate recognizes MVGFCI as part of an international community of educationalists committed to providing global learning opportunities for students. The Global School Alliance also facilitates school partnerships and professional development opportunities for educators.

The institutional membership is associated with CEOP’s WURI Project: Talipapa: Antolohiya ng mga Tulang Pambata, highlighting the potential of the community extension initiative to create opportunities for international collaboration and visibility.

BANTAY ALTAPRESYON PROGRAM Conducts Nutrition Education and Meal Plan Distribution

CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija — The Bantay Altapresyon Program conducted its 4th and 5th activities on September 14, 2026, at the Barangay Hall of Brgy. Sto. Niño, Cabanatuan City.

The 4th activity focused on a Nutrition Education Session aimed at promoting proper nutrition and healthy food choices among the residents of Purok 6. This was followed by the distribution of meal plans to Purok 6 residents and Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) to support healthier eating practices and blood pressure management.

The activities were participated in by 17 BSN 2 volunteer students, 15 Tech-Voc Caregiver students, one INAHS faculty member, one Tech-Voc trainer, six BHWs, five Barangay Councilors, and 10 Purok 6 residents.

The initiative highlights the continued commitment of the Bantay Altapresyon Program to promote health awareness, proper nutrition, and community-based preventive healthcare among residents of Brgy. Sto. Niño.

CLARK, PAMPANGA — The Manuel V. Gallego Foundation Colleges, Inc. (MVGFCI), through Dr. Joseph L. Gallego, President, together with Prof. Rene Boy E. Abiva, Director of the Community Extension and Outreach Program (CEOP) and Manuel V. Gallego Center for Creative Arts and Cultural Heritage, received a prestigious recognition from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) during TANGLAW Central Luzon 2026.

The award recognizes MVGFCI’s “Talipapa Antolohiya: Mga Tulang Pambata” entry, highlighting the institution’s commitment to culture, creativity, community engagement, and innovative educational practices.

This recognition comes alongside MVGFCI’s achievement in the 2026 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), where the institution was ranked 55th worldwide in the Culture/Values (B4) Top 100 category, announced on May 7, 2026.

A historic milestone for MVGFCI, as this marks the first WURI-related award received by the institution, further affirming its growing contribution to innovation, culture, community development, and global academic excellence.

CABANATUAN CITY — A consultation meeting was conducted with the San Juan ACCFA Credit Cooperative (SJACC) as part of the continuing collaboration among the Community Extension and Outreach Program (CEOP), the Institute of Information and Communications Technology (IICT), and the Institute of Business Management (IBM).

During the consultation, Ma’am Vivian Baroca of IICT checked on the progress and current status of the barangay’s encoding system, in connection with the Project BIMS initiative. She also consulted with the barangay encoder, Ma’am Charmain, regarding the system’s implementation and encoding processes.

Meanwhile, Dr. Al John Marcelino of IBM discussed with Sir Jun Dauz, Chairman of the San Juan ACCFA Credit Cooperative, the initial planning of possible training activities in collaboration with SJACC and IBM. The proposed activities are aligned with IBM’s Alalay sa Kabuhayan, which aims to support livelihood development and strengthen the capacity of community members.

The meeting highlighted the importance of continued coordination among the partner institutions in developing technology-driven systems, livelihood initiatives, and community-based capacity-building programs.

MV Gallego Attends NARA 2026 3rd Milestone Meeting

Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija – The National Reading Alliance (NARA) 2026 held its 3rd Milestone Meeting today, September 11, 2026, via Zoom.

The meeting was part of the continuing monitoring and coordination of the NARA 2026 initiative. Participants, or NARAnian, joined the virtual session to discuss updates and developments related to the program.

Representing MV Gallego, MV Center for Creative Arts and Cultural Heritage Technical Assistant Camille Torres and CEOP Technical Assistant Frederick Manalastas attended the online meeting. The two offices are bona fide members of the National Reading Alliance and participated as part of MV Gallego’s continuing engagement with the initiative.

The 3rd Milestone Meeting provided an opportunity for participants and project stakeholders to share progress, accomplishments, and next steps in advancing the NARA initiative. (CEOP PR Team)

Journalism Training Prepares Students for Division School Press Conference

Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija- A series of journalism training sessions led by CEOP Technical Assistant Frederick J. Manalastas was conducted from August to September 8, 2026, at the Grace Litton Building of Manuel V. Gallego Foundation Colleges, High School.

The training aimed to prepare student journalists for the upcoming Division School Press Conference (DSPC) by strengthening their journalism knowledge and skills.

Mr. Manalastas brings a strong background in journalism, having been a member of the official student publication of Gapan City College, The Shepherdess. His experience in student journalism contributed to the training's focus on developing the participants' writing and journalism skills.

The training also manifested CEOP's continuous knowledge and technology sharing, utilizing the expertise of its staff to support the development of student journalists. (CEOP PR Team)
