This National Teachers’ Month, we honor the teachers whose dedication and commitment continue to make a difference in the lives of every learner. Through their knowledge, guidance, and encouragement, they help us discover our potential and move forward with confidence.

The Supreme Secondary Learner Government of Honorato C. Perez, Sr. Memorial Science High School proudly joins this celebration in recognizing the educators who continue to guide and inspire us each day.

Beyond the lessons taught inside the classroom, our teachers help us develop the values, skills, and determination we carry with us as we face new challenges. Their efforts may begin with a simple lesson, but their impact reaches far beyond it.

To our teachers, we extend our sincere appreciation for your patience, dedication, and constant support. Thank you for being an important part of our journey as learners.

Happy National Teachers’ Month!

“Someone who can’t sacrifice anything, can never change anything” — Armin Arlert

Sometimes, moving forward means letting go of something that matters to us. It could be a person, a memory, a habit, or even a version of ourselves that we have already outgrown. Letting go can be difficult because we naturally want to hold on to the things that make us feel comfortable and safe. But if we keep holding on to the past and refuse to step out in our comfort zone, we might miss the chance to grow and experience something new.

Letting go does not mean that what we had was not important. It simply means accepting that not everything is meant to stay forever. Things come and go through out in our life. Change can be scary, especially when we don’t know what comes next, but sometimes we have to make room for new opportunities by leaving something behind. We may not always understand why we need to let go at first, but eventually, we might realize that it was the step we needed to take to become better and move forward.

Sometimes, letting go isn’t losing something; it’s making room for better things.

Our national heroes aren’t just people we see in books or statues. They are the men and women who shaped Philippine history through their hard work, courage, and sacrifice for our motherland.

This August 31, 2026, we commemorate the men and women who fought for our country and fought for the freedom we have today.

Let us honor their sacrifices by remembering and passing on their stories and carrying their love for the Philippines in everything we do.

Because everyone can be a hero.

“Never let your sense of morals prevent you from doing what is right.”
-Isaac Asimov

Our morals are shaped by our beliefs, experiences, traditions, and the rules we choose to follow. They help guide us, but they are not always enough to reveal what is truly right. Asimov’s quote encourages us to have the courage to act with wisdom rather than pride. True integrity is not measured by how tightly we hold onto our own moral code, but by our willingness to choose honesty over convenience and justice over personal gain.

Whether in politics or even in our daily lives, real change begins when people refuse to stay silent in the face of wrongdoing. Doing what is right may demand sacrifice, but it is through those difficult choices that trust is restored, lives are improved, and a better future is built for everyone.

This August 21 marks the celebration of Ninoy Aquino Day, commemorating the former Philippine Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr., who was assassinated upon his return from exile on August 21, 1983. Today serves as an opportunity for us to honor Aquino alongside all Filipinos who gave their lives in the struggle for democracy against dictatorship and Martial Law.

In a time when our society continues to face threats to democratic institutions, historical distortion, and the suppression of truth, may we be reminded of the courage and vigilance of those who once fought for our nation’s freedom.
