In fact, it is recognized as having the third largest reef area and the most diverse coral reef systems in the world. Being the third-biggest coral reef in the world, we are home to some of the most diverse marine life with one of the highest number of threatened species globally. Conservation efforts must therefore be heightened if we want to protect our unique biodiversity including our coastal and marine resources. This is why we are calling for everyone to to ensure that the nature we enjoy now can also benefit the new generations to come.
