We all know that COVID-19 has threatened the lives and livelihoods of everyone in this planet. We are at the beginning of a year with plenty of challenges. During this pandemic, the most vulnerable have been the hardest hit .We must increase our resilience. We must work together and take an integrated approach to this equity crisis.

This COVID-19 pandemic once again reminds us that Global crisis require a global solutions. We must act together to end the pandemic and we must take several urgent actions. The only way that we'll be able to recover better, together, is by defeating the virus everywhere through raising awareness on these issues and playing an important role in promoting global solidarity to conquer this pandemic.Global solidarity is essential to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic. Our collective efforts to keep supply chains open, and ensure fair and equitable access to vaccines, Let us all take a first steps toward a more sustainable recovery for all.

3,000+ NEW COVID-19 CASES

JUST IN: The DOH records 3,788 additional COVID-19 infections on Friday, bringing the country's total tally of cases up to 3,630,637

Kahapon, Pebrero 10, 2022, ang Department of Health ay nakapagtala ng 4,575 na karagdagang kaso ng COVID-19. Samantala ay mayroon namang naitalang 7,504 na gumaling at 94 na pumanaw.

Sa kabuuang bilang ng mga naitalang kaso sa bansa, 2.6% (93,307) ang aktibong kaso, 95.9% (3,479,485) na ang gumaling, at 1.51% (54,783) ang namatay.

Ayon sa pinakahuling ulat, lahat ng mga laboratoryo ay operational noong February 8, 2022 habang mayroong 5 laboratoryo na hindi nakapagsumite ng datos sa COVID-19 Document Repository System (CDRS). Base sa datos sa nakaraang 14 na araw, ang kontribusyon ng 5 labs na ito ay humigit kumulang 0.8% sa lahat ng samples na naitest at 1.2% sa lahat ng positibong mga indibidwal.

Pinapaalalahanan ang lahat na huwag maging kampante sa banta ng COVID-19. Bagkus, dapat natin ipagpatuloy ang tamang pagsunod sa minimum public health standards at lagging magsuot ng facemask, mag physical distancing, at maghugas ng kamay. Sa oras na makaramdam ng sintomas, AGAD NA MAG-ISOLATE at magpatest. Tandaan ang right test at the right time. Agad rin na magpabakuna upang makakuha ng dagdag na proteksyon laban sa COVID-19.

Note: Of the 4,575 reported cases today, 3,461 (76%) occurred within the recent 14 days (January 28 - February 10, 2022). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were Region 6 (451 or 13%), Region 7 (400 or 12%) and NCR (392 or 11%).

Of the 94 deaths, 66 occurred in February 2022 (70%), 11 in January 2022 (12%), 1 in December 2021 (1%), 1 in October 2021 (1%), 7 in September 2021 (7%), 3 in August 2021 (3%), 4 in July 2021 (4%), and 1 in June 2021 (1%) due to late encoding of death information to COVIDKaya. This issue is currently being coordinated with the Epidemiology and Surveillance Units to ensure information is up to date.

176 duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 132 are recoveries and 1 is a death.

Moreover, 47 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation.

All labs were operational on February 8, 2022. However 5 labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System (CDRS). Based on data in the last 14 days, the 5 labs contribute, on average, 0.8% of samples tested and 1.2% of positive individuals.

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 9) – The Department of Health on Wednesday announced 3,651 new COVID-19 infections, while the country’s active case tally dipped to below 100,000.

The bulletin showed the number of Filipinos currently sick with the virus is now at 96,326, the first time in a little over a month – or since Jan. 7 – that it fell to a five-digit figure.

It makes up 2.7% of total cases, which have climbed to 3,623,176.

According to DOH, 12,834 more people were cleared of the infection, bringing total recoveries to 3,472,160.

There were also 69 more deaths, 25 of which occurred this month. Thirty-six were from January, while the other eight were late reports from March to October 2021. These raised the death toll to 54,690.

Of the newly confirmed cases, the DOH said 95% were detected within the last 14 days.

Western Visayas was the top contributing region with 523 infections, overtaking Metro Manila which came second with 484. Calabarzon logged the third highest increase at 414.

The nationwide positivity rate, meanwhile, was at 16.5%, based on 29,970 coronavirus tests reported to the government on Feb. 7. This refers to the percentage of infected people out of all tested.

Three testing laboratories failed to send their reports on time, the department said. It noted these three contributed an average of 0.8% of samples tested and 0.9% of positive results in the last two weeks.

After final validation, the DOH removed from its case count 105 duplicate entries and three cases found to have tested negative.

It added that 49 cases it mistakenly declared as recoveries were reclassified as deaths.

BREAKING: The Department of Health logs 3,574 new COVID-19 cases—the lowest single day increase since Dec. 31 of last year—pushing the nationwide tally to 3,619,633.

Active cases fall to 105,550, but the DOH says six testing laboratories have yet to submit data. The positivity rate is at 16.3%.

Fatalities rise to 54,621 after 83 more died while recoveries reach 3,459,462 with another 14,644 survivors.

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 6,835 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, bringing the nationwide tally to 3,616,387.

Of the newly reported infections, 6,673 (98%) occurred within the past 14 days, or from Jan. 25 to Feb. 7.

The regions with the highest number of new cases in the period were Metro Manila (949 or 14%), Western Visayas (822 or 12%) and Central Visayas (624 or 9%).

Of the total, 3.2% or 116,720 are active cases, including 103,900 persons experiencing mild symptoms; 7,806 with no symptoms; 3,184 in moderate condition; 1,495 with severe symptoms; and 335 in critical condition.

The death toll increased to 54,538 — 1.51% of all infections — after 12 more people lost their lives. All 12 fatalities occurred in January but were reported late due to delayed encoding of information to the COVIDKaya data storage system, the DOH explained.

Meanwhile, 16,330 others got well, raising the recovery count to 3,445,129 or 95.3% of the case total.

The DOH said it also reclassified 12 initially tagged as survivors as among the dead after validation, and deleted 16 duplicate cases, including four recoveries.

Two laboratories did not submit their data on time, the DOH added. These laboratories contributed an average of 0.2% of tested samples and 0.1% of positive individuals in the last 14 days.

The positivity rate, or percentage of tested people with positive results, dropped further to 19.1% based on 36,773 tests reported on Feb. 5.

The rate dropped to below 20% for the first time since Jan. 2. However, the World Health Organization recommends the figure should be below 5% for countries to reopen.
